The apprehension of migrants by Border Patrol agents along the southwest border fell by about nine percent in May, according to a CBP source. The slight decline in apprehensions follows the Biden administration’s ending of the Title 42 COVID-19 migrant expulsion program.

Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 165,000 migrants who crossed the southwest border from Mexico between ports of entry, according to an unofficial Border Patrol report reviewed by Breitbart Texas. This is about a nine percent decrease from the more than 182,000 migrants in April. . . . Biden Admin Makes Overnight Move That Means Thursday's Border Disaster Will Be Much Worse: Report

With the clock ticking on the COVID-era policy known as Title 42, one of the few obstacles remaining to unbridled illegal immigration into the country is about to be lifted.

And instead of taking steps to control the border, the Biden administration made an overnight move that will make things even worse, Fox News’ Bill Melugin reported Tuesday. . . . Read more about Biden Admin Makes Overnight Move That Means Thursday's Border Disaster Will Be Much Worse: Report

As Title 42 Ends, DHS Plans to Accommodate Expected Surge of Illegal Immigration, Rather than Prevent It, Charges FAIR

“For months, the Biden administration has been pressed to present a plan to deal with even greater surges of illegal immigration after Title 42 is formally ended on May 11. Today, the Department of Homeland Security finally rolled out a ‘plan’ that amounts to the same failed policies that resulted in record levels of illegal immigration, only on steroids.

“Today’s announcement by the Biden administration, billed as ‘sweeping new actions to manage regional migration,’ does not even make a pretense that it is designed to prevent or deter even larger numbers of migrants from entering the country. Rather, it is a massive scheme to process migrants and disburse them around the country as quickly as possible. . . . SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas — The Border Patrol conducted a multi-agency water safety exercise along the southern edge of South Padre Island to address the dangers posed to migrants. Monday’s exercise involved CBP Air and Marine units; Rio Grande Valley Sector’s Border, Search, Trauma, and Rescue Team (BORSTAR); and the United States Coast Guard.

Steady Stream of Migrants Flow into West Texas Border Town Before Title 42 Ends

EAGLE PASS, Texas — Groups of migrants crossed the Rio Grande as the Border Patrol braces for the end of Title 42 enforcement. The parties forded the river and surrendered to authorities near the heart of the city on Tuesday.

The groups, numbering up to 30 in size, walked from the riverbank and surrendered to Texas Army National Guard soldiers posted in the vicinity. The guardsmen detained the migrants and arranged for their transfer to Border Patrol custody.

The crossings are significantly reduced during the daylight hours, according to law enforcement sources in the Eagle Pass area. A source within CBP says . . . Read more about Steady Stream of Migrants Flow into West Texas Border Town Before Title 42 Ends

FAIR: Federal Judge Knocks Down One of the Last Remaining Barriers to Complete Anarchy at the Border

“Since the moment he took office, President Biden has intentionally worsened an unprecedented surge of illegal migration, with Title 42 serving as the last constraint on his plan to completely abandon enforcement at our southern border. This is a fact that was recognized by border officials and lawmakers in both parties. This decision will lead to a skyrocketing of illegal entries, most of whom the Biden administration will simply process and disperse around the country.

“The initial ruling that kept Title 42 in place prevented the border crisis from becoming much worse, but based on the most recent numbers, it clearly was no match for open borders policies deliberately forced upon the American people. . . . Sources: Border Patrol Only Enforcing Title 42 Sporadically

The stories I'm hearing from the southern border are that the Border Patrol is enforcing Title 42 sporadically. The Agents show up one day and are told that they are not doing Title 42 repatriations that day to Mexico. They'll come back into the office a day or two later and they will be informed that they are doing Title 42 again. . . . Read more about Sources: Border Patrol Only Enforcing Title 42 Sporadically
