27½ pounds of meth lands man in prison

An undocumented immigrant was sentenced Friday to nearly three years in prison after he pleaded no-contest to trafficking a large quantity of methamphetamine with the help of his wife.

Oscar Omar Aguilar-Gomez, 30, had been found in possession of 27½ pounds of methamphetamine seized after a March 31 traffic stop near exit 30 on northbound Interstate 5.

According to an affidavit filed in Jackson County Circuit Court, Oregon State Police troopers noticed multiple air fresheners in use when they pulled over a gray Chevrolet TrailBlazer SUV driven by Aguilar-Gomez's wife, Sara Rosales-Lopez, for exceeding the speed limit and following too closely.

Aguilar-Gomez's court-appointed defense attorney Vance Michael Waliser said the SUV was borrowed from a friend, but according to court records Aguilar-Gomez and Rosales-Lopez were both unsure who owned the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop. After the couple gave troopers consent to search the SUV, troopers found 37 packages of crystal meth in the back below the cargo area.

Waliser said Aguilar-Gomez has lived in California since he was 13 years old and has no prior criminal record. The couple have children together who live in California.

"This is very unfortunate," Waliser said.

Aguilar-Gomez was sentenced to 34 months in prison after entering a no-contest plea to a single charge of delivery of methamphetamine. Waliser sought alternative incarceration programs for Aguilar-Gomez where applicable, which Judge Tim Barnack authorized, but Aguilar-Gomez faces deportation through immigration and customs services.

Rosales-Lopez pleaded guilty April 25 to a felony charge of delivery of methamphetamine in the case, and was sentenced to two years' probation. She will be deported.

Rioters Prove Mexicans “Not Criminals” By Committing Criminal Acts; Prove Their Loyalty To The U.S. By Brandishing The Mexican Flag–Brilliant Strategy!

The violent mayhem being loosed against Trump at various rallies resembles that of a Third World country. It should also remind us that the framers of the U.S. Constitution were against “mobocracy”.

A significant proportion of these rioters are Mexicans or Mexican-Americans, though it is clear they self-identify as the former not the latter.

They are angry at Trump for calling Mexicans criminals. So to prove Trump is wrong they commit criminal acts.

Yeah, that’s brilliant.

Do they claim to be Americans? If so, why brandish the Mexican flag and yell “¡Viva México!”?

Once again, it’s brilliant.

It’s brilliant for the Trump Campaign because it shows in bold relief what is at stake here.

Why is there such a frenzied opposition to a candidate who wants to enforce the law?

It’s not just about one candidate. It really doesn’t matter what anybody thinks about Trump the man. Trump is a target because of what he stands for and for his courage.

I suggest readers browse the photographs of the violent protests outside a Trump rally in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Just look at these photographs. (Click here). These are not “demonstrators” they are violent people. Do we want our country turned over to people who act like this?

Just read the title of the article:

‘Thugs’ chant ‘Viva Mexico’ while burning Stars and Stripes flag as Trump’s may 24th rally in Albuquerque rally erupts in violence: Billionaire hits out at ‘criminals’ who clashed with riot police in the streets  by David Martosko, Daily Mail, May 25, 2016.

That’s just the title.

Once again, thanks to Britain’s Daily Mail for showing us Yanks what’s going on in our own country.

facismAmong other photographs, note the big unfurled Mexican flag in photograph number one , the “Facist [sic] not welcome on native land” in photograph 14 and the poor horse and its rider getting knocked down in photograph 15.

Where is the outrage? Where is the condemnation from Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton, or for that matter from Ted Cruz or Jeb Bush?

Trump responded on his twitter that:

The protesters in New Mexico were thugs who were flying the Mexican flag. The rally inside was big and beautiful, but outside, criminals!

----------------------

Trump needs to continue to emphasize that. Demonstrators who brandish the Mexican flag and shout “¡Viva México!” to condemn an American candidate are behaving as de facto agents of a foreign nation.

It’s not we who are impugning their loyalty to a foreign power. It’s they themselves who do so, by their own behavior. Read more about Rioters Prove Mexicans “Not Criminals” By Committing Criminal Acts; Prove Their Loyalty To The U.S. By Brandishing The Mexican Flag–Brilliant Strategy!

E-Verify may have prevented this tragedy

It seems that every day we hear of horrific tragedies perpetrated by illegal aliens.  This tragedy, however, just might have been prevented if the old guy would have insisted upon hiring only workers that have been E-Verified by their employer and have the legal right to work in the United States.

It's fair, it's reasonable and it's smart to inquire of any business that you intend to have working in or on your property, if their employees have been verified for employment in the United States using the FREE Federal E-Verify program.

If the business doesn't use E-Verify, or suggests they "know" the guys they are hiring, I would urge you to take your business elsewhere.  In Oregon alone, there are nearly 3,500 businesses that want to be certain they are hiring only those that have the legal right to work in the US., not just hire the cheapest labor they can find.

Who knows if this horrific tragedy could have been prevented, but, it might have been!

Protect yourself, protect your family, protect your property - insist on E-Verify.

Illegal Aliens Sentenced For Beating Elderly Minnesota Farmer to Death

Reinol Vergara and Edson Benitez pled guilty to second-degree murder and assisting to second degree murder.

“They left him helpless on his living room flow {floor} as they ransacked his home, as he was bleeding to death, they cut the phone line and left him for dead,” Carver County Attorney Mark Metz said at the sentencing, ABC 5 Eyewitness News reports.

The alien killers preyed on Earl Olander because they knew he was elderly and alone, according to CBS Minnesota.

According to the criminal complaint, Vergara and Benitez bound Orlander’s hands, beat him and then stole from his house. Olander’s entire house was ransacked…

Vergara told police that he had recently painted Olander’s house and knew he’d be an easy target because he lived alone and had money....

The two men brought with them a black bag that contained a shotgun, duct tape and rope.

The complaint states they entered Olander’s residence through an unlocked back door. Olander was sleeping on the couch when the two men put a blanket over his head and attacked him...

Local news stories simply identify the two illegal alien criminals as “men.”

Olander’s family is stricken with grief.

“What happened to my uncle was pure evil,” Olander’s niece, Mary Rothfusz, said, adding that Olander was kind to his killers. “When the defendant painted his house my uncle brought him water and snacks from the store.”

Olander spent his last minutes on Earth blinded, bound, and bleeding to death on his living room floor while listening to Vergara and Benitez tear through his home. Police didn’t find him until a day or two later.

It was his Bible that Vergara and Benitez stole that led police to find him: Someone cleaning out the apartment the killers fled found the Bible stuffed with Olander’s savings bonds and after learning Olander was a murder victim called authorities.

Vergara and Benitez both face deportation after completing their sentences. Read more about Illegal Aliens Sentenced For Beating Elderly Minnesota Farmer to Death

Beyond the DOC criminal alien incarceration numbers and incarceration percentages, per county and per crime type, or even country of origin, criminal aliens pose high economic cost on Oregonians.

An individual prisoner incarcerated in the DOC prison system costs the state approximately ($94.55) per day.

The DOC's incarceration cost for its 948 criminal alien prison population is approximately ($89,633.40) per day, ($627,433.80) per week, and ($32,716,191.00) per year...

None of preceding cost estimates for the DOC to incarcerate the 948 criminal aliens includes the dollar amount for legal services (indigent defense), language interpreters, court costs, or victim assistance.

Extradited man pleads guilty to rape

A man extradited from Mexico on charges he raped a child pleaded guilty Tuesday in Marion County Circuit Court.

Raul Xalamihua-Espindola, 29, pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree rape before Judge David Leith. One count of first-degree rape and first-degree custodial interference will be dismissed as part of the plea bargain.

Xalamihua-Espindola's case goes back to 2007 when the then-19-year-old was accused of taking an 11-year-old girl, whom he called his "girlfriend," to Mexico.

The investigation began on April 6, 2007, when the Keizer Police Department received a report that an 11-year-old girl left a note for her parents saying she ran away with her boyfriend, identified by police as Xalamihua-Espindola...

Xalamihua-Espindola eluded capture until about two years ago.

On Dec. 15, 2015, Xalamihua-Espindola was extradited and taken to the Marion County jail.

During Xalamihua-Espindola's plea hearing, language and cultural barriers were evident. Every word was translated through two translators from English to Spanish to Nahuatl, a language spoken in Central Mexico.

When asked how old he was when the crimes occurred, Xalamihua-Espindola said he didn't remember because he doesn't know if his parents put down his date of birth correctly on his documents...

When Leith asked Xalamihua-Espindola how he pleaded, Xalamihua-Espindola kept answering "yes."

Leith told him that wasn't an answer and he needed to say guilty or not guilty.

"Yes, I am guilty, "Xalamihua-Espindola said.

Xalamihua-Espindola is scheduled to appear in court for sentencing at 9 a.m. June 6.

Prez Candidate Officially Commits

HOUSTON, TX - For over a decade, mothers have given congressional testimony and pouring out their hearts about the preventable killings of their children and, yet, politicians have done nothing.

In this light, an Open Letter was sent to all GOP Presidential Candidates.

BREAKING NEWS:  An official statement has been given from the Donald Trump Presidential Campaign.

"Donald Trump, who has been honored to receive the endorsement of the Border Patrol Union, will always stand by the victims of illegal immigrant violence.  A Trump Administration will support this important initiative from the Remembrance Project to provide legal and support services to the surviving families, which can easily be funded by eliminating welfare payment to illegal immigrant households.  We will deliver justice for the families and, at last, put Americans first."

"We look forward to be of any assistance to Mr. Trump in facilitating the needs of our families.  We are very excited to have someone who has finally listened to Americans,"  said Maria Espinoza, National Director.

President Obama: Accessory to the Crimes Committed By Illegal Aliens?

On Tuesday, April 19, 2016, the House Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security conducted a hearing on the topic, “The Real Victims of a Reckless and Lawless Immigration Policy: Families and Survivors Speak Out on the Real Cost of This Administration’s Policies.”

I urge you to watch the entire video of that important hearing...

The witnesses at this hearing were: Sheriff Charles Jenkins of Frederick County, Maryland; Michelle Root, the mother of Sarah Root; Laura Wilkerson,  the mother of Joshua Wilkerson; and Bishop Minerva Carcaño of the United Methodist Church.

The timing of the hearing could not have been better because the day before, on Monday, April 18th, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments on the administration's implementation of the DAPA program (Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents)...

...President Obama stood in the White House Rose Garden to proclaim that “since Congress failed to act” he was going to take action. Of course to Obama, his concept of a "failure of Congress to act” was the refusal of Congress to pass bad legislation. When Congress votes down bad legislation, they most certainly are acting.

Obama also deceptively said that this was about children, kids and young people, even though illegal aliens as old as 31 years of age could apply for this program...

...Incidentally, I cannot pass up the opportunity to note that while the term “alien” has come under attack by Obama and his supporters, the open borders anarchists, the term “DREAMers” is derived from the acronym for the “Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors” Act.

The “a” in DREAMers stands for “aliens.” ...

The congressional hearing that was conducted on the heels of oral arguments at the Supreme Court illuminated the level of carnage that Obama's executive orders, policy decisions and misuse of prosecutorial discretion has unleashed on America and Americans.

Rep. Trey Gowdy, the Chairman of the House Immigration Subcommittee, opened the hearing with his statement that set the stage and the tone for what would follow. Breitbart.com used one of Rep. Gowdy's statements as the title for the article “Trey Gowdy: More Illegal Immigrants Convicted of Crimes At Large in the U.S. Than The Population of Pittsburgh.” Gowdy noted that simply stating that there are more than 350,000 known criminal aliens at large throughout the United States is a statistic and statistics are often not persuasive, so he thought he needed to put that huge number in perspective. And, indeed, he did....

Congressman Lamar Smith of Texas had previously chaired the House Immigration Subcommittee and the House Judiciary Committee...

Smith's understandable outrage at the April 19th hearing became readily apparent when he stated rhetorically that he wondered if President Obama might be an accessory to the crimes committed by illegal aliens since he has implemented policies that he knows are going to result in the loss of life to innocent Americans, noting that the administration had released from custody some 100,000 aliens who had been convicted of committing serious crimes. He also noted that although it has been estimated that illegal aliens account for about 3% of the U.S. population, they account for 30% of all murders -- making illegal aliens 10 times more likely to commit murder than anyone else.

Congressman Smith came up with some additional staggering and infuriating statistics. He noted that of the 100,000 aliens that Obama had released from custody, 473 had been previously convicted of committing homicides, 375 of these criminal aliens had been convicted of kidnapping, 890 of these released criminal aliens had been previously convicted for committing sexual assaults and others of this stellar group of “pre-citizens” (the term I decided to use when, during the Carter administration all INS personnel were told to stop using the term “illegal alien” to describe aliens illegally present in the United States) had been previously convicted of committing 10,731 assaults...

As bad as these statistics are, Smith went on to report that since the release of these criminal aliens, many have gone on to further their criminal careers by committing 124 additional (known) homicides from 2010 until 2014 and an additional 1,423 sexual assaults.

Trey Gowdy noted that people tend to not pay attention to statistics so he decided to compare the number of criminal aliens currently at large with the population of a major U.S. city.

...two of the witnesses who testified at the congressional hearing, as I noted at the beginning of this article, were Michelle Root, the mother of Sarah Root, and Laura Wilkerson, the mother of Joshua Wilkerson.

Ms. Root and Ms. Wilkerson both lost their children to illegal aliens.

The title of a Breitbart.com news article posted on the day of the hearing was based on Michelle Root's poignant and heart-breaking prepared testimony at the hearing: “Mother of Daughter Killed by Illegal: His Bail Was ‘Less Than it Cost to Bury My Baby.’

The illegal alien in this case was released on bail and it is believed he fled to his native Honduras, availing himself use of the “escape hatch” foreign criminals and terrorists frequently avail themselves of: the ability to flee our nation to escape the long reach of the law.

The day after the hearing CNS News posted a report about the compelling testimony of Laura Wilkerson at that hearing in an article that summed up the anguished mother's demands of our elected “representatives.”

The title of that article was, “Mother of Teen Murdered by Illegal Immigrant Tells Congress: ‘Do Something – It Is Your Job.’

Wilkerson’s prepared testimony provided horrific details about the torture and murder of her high school student son by Hermilo Vildo Moralez, an illegal alien.

Sheriff Charles Jenkins of Frederick County, Maryland discussed how since the “surge” of “unaccompanied minors” the high schools and even lower grade schools have witnessed a massive increase in gang activity by those aliens who flooded across our southwest border. Sheriff Jenkins noted that the majority of those gang members who have been arrested arrived across that border after 2013...

Rep. Bob Goodlatte is the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and participated in this hearing. His final statement in his prepared testimony will serve as the conclusion for my commentary today:

By releasing known criminal aliens and refusing to secure our border, the Administration has sent a clear message to the American people that their safety and security are far less important than ensuring that these individuals remain here. I want to see these dangerous policies stopped, and I will continue working to stand in the way of President Obama’s pen and phone. The real costs of illegal immigration are something no family should be forced to pay.

Owner of dog killed in car theft says he'll never forget 'Kona'

The owner of a dog found dead inside his stolen car told a judge Monday he hopes the accused thief never leaves jail.

Bill Robbins' minute-long statement came during a Multnomah County Circuit Court arraignment for Francisco Vincent Gonzalez, who was arrested April 14 after police found him in a North Portland hotel. Police said Gonzalez stole Robbins' car with the dog, named Kona, inside.

A Multnomah County grand jury indicted him on new charges Tuesday including felony unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, first-degree theft, identity theft and possession of methamphetamine. He was also charged with five misdemeanors related to animal abuse, animal neglect and animal abandonment. Gonzalez pleaded not guilty....

Prosecutor Brian Davidson declined to discuss specifics of the case but said the nature of the animal crimes doesn't happen often in the county. When they happen, however, the cases are significant and troubling, he said.

Robbins reported the theft occurred April 7 about 3:30 p.m...

Officers arrested Gonzalez on April 12 at the Super Value Inn Motel in North Portland. Gonzalez confessed to detectives that he stole the car and dog, then abandoned the car with the pet inside, according to a probable cause affidavit filed April 15. Officers also arrested his wife, Linda Kathy Gutierrez, 33, on accusations of hindering prosecution.

Circuit Court Judge Karin J. Immergut raised Gonzalez's bail from $33,000 to $135,000 after prosecutor Brian Davidson requested it, noting that Gonzalez has been the subject of federal prosecution twice before on immigration offenses. Call your Senators! Protect your family and your community!

Alert date:
April 22, 2016
Alert body:

Call your Senators and urge them to oppose a vote on crime bill as currently written

There are a number of new reports surfacing that the Senate may try to move a highly-flawed criminal justice reform bill over the next few weeks. NumbersUSA takes no position on crime reform, but because the bill, as currently written, would largely benefit non-citizens who are incarcerated in federal prisons, and the Obama Administration has shown little interest in deporting criminal aliens, we're urging Congress not to bring the bill to the floor for a vote.

The Criminal Justice reform bill, S.2123, would reduce the sentences for certain individuals who have been convicted for federal crimes; that's an important distinction to point out -- this bill would only impact federal prisons. It would have no impact on state, county, or local jails.

According to federal data, 25% of all federal trafficking convictions and 77% of all federal drug possession convictions in 2015 were handed down to non-citizens. The criminal alien who killed California Detective Michael Davis, Jr. and Deputy Sheriff Danny Oliver was convicted of federal drug offenses before being released from prison.

In FY2015, the Obama Administration released 60% of the criminal aliens it came in contact with. If S.2123 passes in its current form, it would result in the release of thousands of more criminal aliens onto the streets. Several open-borders groups have already petitioned the Obama Administration, asking for any criminal aliens who are released should the law be passed be considered for Deferred Action (protection from deportations).

Please call your two U.S. Senators and urge them to oppose a vote on S.2123, the criminal justice reform bill because it could potentially release thousands of criminal aliens onto the streets.
