illegal immigration

This Is a ‘Cheat Sheet’ Found at the Border to Coach Illegals on How to Stay in the U.S.

U.S. law enforcement officials have been finding “cheat sheets” along the border used by illegal immigrants to try to stay in the United States and not get deported after they’ve been caught.

The notes, believed to be supplied by human trafficking groups, give pointers in Spanish on what immigrants should say when confronted by border authorities.

One federal law enforcement official dubbed them “illegal alien cheat sheets.”

A copy of one sheet obtained by TheBlaze lists a series of questions that U.S. authorities will consider in granting someone an immigration hearing.

“It’s proof they are told what to say,” a Department of Homeland Security official told TheBlaze. Often times, the sheets get “destroyed or thrown away before illegal aliens are apprehended.”

An illegal alien cheat sheet found on one of the illegal immigrants crossing the southern border into the United States. The sheets have been found on numerous illegal aliens. According to federal law enforcement officials the human trafficking organizations, who are making huge profits from the surge of illegal traffic from Central America, are supplying the cheat sheets to those who pay them to cross. The sheet obtained by TheBlaze has handwritten notes about the appropriate “yes” or “no” answers to the questions, along with some jotted personal notes on what to say to U.S. authorities. They include, “Who did you live with?” and the answer, “My aunt, but she crossed the border.”

Another handwritten question is, “Where does your father live?” The answer underneath reads, “I don’t know him or even his name.”

Border Patrol agents in McAllen, Texas, have said most of the illegal immigrants they encounter have the same “rehearsed” answers about having “credible fear” in fleeing their countries so they will not be returned.

Among the printed statements in Spanish on the sheet are:

• Why did you abandon your country?

• Because of poverty and misery.

• You’re in fear of your government and afraid to live in your country.

• You’re afraid of extortion from Maras [MS-13 gang].

• Do you have family in the United States?

• Is this the first time you’ve come into this country?

• Did you swim across the river?

• Somebody told you that if you brought a minor child into the United States you can stay.

More than 52,000 unaccompanied minors from Central America have illegally crossed into the United States over the past eight months, mainly through the Border Patrol’s Rio Grande Valley sector in Texas. Many of the families arriving from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatamala believe they will not be returned home if they have young children with them, authorities say.

Federal law enforcement officials told TheBlaze the sheets are prepared by human traffickers whose job it is to ensure passage of the illegals into the U.S. The cost of traveling from Central America to the United States can vary from $5,000 to $8,000, according to recently arrived immigrants and law enforcement officials who spoke to TheBlaze. Many who cross the border use the “credible fear” claim, saying they are afraid to return home, and knowing that they will obtain a notice to appear in immigration court to appeal to stay in the country.

“It’s proof they are told what to say.”

Because of the overcrowded conditions at border facilities, many families are released at their own recognizance and subsequently fail to report to their hearings.

“Several years ago, we would hold illegal aliens until their court date,” the DHS official said. “We didn’t have this huge crisis when they knew they couldn’t get away and were being held. Now we let everyone go because we have no space — the administration also makes it impossible to do our job and deport them.” Read more about This Is a ‘Cheat Sheet’ Found at the Border to Coach Illegals on How to Stay in the U.S.

New York to Issue ID Cards for Undocumented Immigrants

New York City’s 500,000 undocumented immigrants will be able to open bank accounts, visit libraries and use medical clinics, thanks to an official municipal identification card approved by the City Council.

The measure, backed by Mayor Bill de Blasio, passed in a 43 to 3 vote today with two abstentions. The photo IDs will display the holder’s name, birth date, address and -- at the cardholder’s option -- a self-designated gender.

“It sends a simple and clear message that we are a city that believes in including everyone,” Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito said before the vote. “We don’t accept that some people can be left out because of their immigration status, how they identify their gender or whether they may be homeless.”

In a city where 40 percent of residents were born outside the U.S., politicians may gain support backing legislation that would help undocumented newcomers lease an apartment or apply for school or city services. Democrats outnumber Republicans by more than 6 to 1 , and as much as 20 percent of party voters are Latino, said Jerry Skurnik, a New York-based demographic-political consultant.

“Hispanics who are citizens and voters are pro-immigration; they want their families, friends and countrymen to come here,” Skurnik said in an interview. “And in a liberal city like New York, most people are pro-immigration anyway.”

New Haven

Similar cards have been created in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New Haven, Connecticut, which began its program in 2007 in response to a series of street robberies of undocumented immigrants who carried cash because they lacked access to banks. The victims’ status made them reluctant to report the crimes, said Officer David Hartman, a New Haven police spokesman.

New York’s program would be the largest in the U.S., costing $8.4 million when it goes into effect next year, decreasing to $5.6 million annually over the next three years, Mark-Viverito said. The city will seek sponsors to offer discounts and other inducements for residents to carry the card so that its use would expand beyond undocumented immigrants, Mark-Viverito said. Details of how the card would be administered are still being worked out, she said.

“If you can’t sign a lease, if you can’t get a bank account, if you can’t do the basics, if you can’t even prove who you are, it doesn’t feel like you truly belong,” de Blasio, a 53-year-old Democrat, said in April, in support of the card.“These half-million New Yorkers are building this city alongside all of us every single day, and we will do better by them.”

Foreign Passport

Documents that would be acceptable to apply for a card include a U.S. or foreign passport, a domestic or foreign driver’s license and a birth certificate or proof of foreign military service. An applicant would also have to show proof of city residence, such as a utility bill or bank statement.

Aside from immigrants, those supporting New York’s bill include transgendered individuals who want the right to identify themselves as they see fit, regardless of what their birth certificate or driver’s license may say.

Democratic Council members Mark Treyger and Alan Maisel ofBrooklyn were among several who raised concerns that the program could create a list of undocumented immigrants who could be targeted for deportation.

Senator Sessions Does His Part to Defend America–But Where is the GOP Leadership?

The GOP congressional leadership is AWOL in serious opposition to the border chaos that has been encouraged by the Obama Administration. Just think what the Republican leadership could do if the will was there—Senators and Congressmen could be filibustering, cutting off funds, speaking to the press—opposing with one voice what the government is doing and demanding that the administration secure the border.

But of course the GOP leadership doesn’t do that. If only Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions were running the GOP. Check this out :

Exclusive- Sen. Jeff Sessions: Pro-Amnesty Elites Treat People as Commodities (by Senator Sessions, Breitbart, June 22, 2014).

Besides the text, it includes a video of Senator Sessions grilling Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson. Sessions asks Johnson to tell the world that you cannot enter the U.S. illegally, and Johnson just won’t do it. Watch the video!

Write your senators and congressmen, or better yet, call their offices, and ask what they are doing now to fight this. And you Alabamans ought to be asking Sessions to run for president.

PRESS RELEASE:

America is undergoing the most intensive campaign of Political Deception ever launched against Americans by her political leaders.

The Administration, the members of the U.S. Senate that voted for S-744, and every other member of Congress that supports a path to

citizenship, regularization or any other form of amnesty for illegal aliens before providing for full protections for National Security (jobs & economy) and Public Safety (the right of the people to be secure in their property and person) are fully responsible for the wave of illegal aliens flooding into the United States today.

There is a solution to this and it requires defining the root source of the problem.

Any elected member of the Executive or Legislative Branch of the U.S. Government that has not stood up and demanded that current Immigration Law be enforced vigorously since 1986 is fully and exclusively responsible for this latest invasion. This is not a

humanitarian crisis. It is a predictable, orchestrated and contrived assault on the compassionate side of Americans by her political leaders that knowingly puts minor Illegal Alien children at risk for purely political purposes. Certainly, we are not gullible enough to believe that thousands of unaccompanied minor Central American children came to America without the encouragement, aid and assistance of the United States Government. Anyone that has taken two six to seven year old children to an amusement park can only imagine the problems associated with bringing thousands of unaccompanied children that age up through Mexico and into the United States. I doubt even the Cartels would undertake that chore at any price. No, it has to be heartless corrupt politicians and their minions lusting for more money and power.

The non enforcement of America's Immigration Laws has lead America to the next step in becoming a failed state in that we are arguably a lawless nation by not enforcing the Immigration Laws or upholding the Constitution. Yes, our leaders are guilty. However, we are responsible because it is the American voter that has placed untrustworthy people in positions of power and kept them there when they have clearly demonstrated that they have violated that public trust. These successful con artists are well dressed, attractive and charming. Putting untrustworthy officials in charge of America is how Americans are robbed in the 21st century, with the aid of the IRS, DOJ, BLM, DHS, EPA, HHS, etc., of their money and their God given rights.

Will this heartless criminal exploitation of Central American infants and children finally awaken Americans to the ruse being foisted upon them by their government, the media and other interested parties, or has America lost her ability to stand up against the tyrants and do what is right rather than what is easy? Obviously, this administration thinks you are as corrupt as they are and will vote them back into office or these young children would not be streaming into America to tug at your hearts and empty your heads of reason.

We at NAFBPO are mightily encouraged to see that Texas has once again stood up against tyranny and shone the brilliant light of freedom across the land by setting an example for freedom loving Americans to follow:

http://bigjollypolitics.com/2014/06/09/compromising-positions-texas-gop-...

We further believe that the only way to overcome the criminal element leading this nation today is for the people to rise up and report in mass to the ballot box with fire in their hearts for the rule of law, our Constitution and the voice of freedom on their lips and remove these criminals and replace them with true patriots who will protect America first.

Sincerely,

Obama Responds To Border Crisis by Ordering Even More Incentives for Illegal Entry

Washington, D.C. - June 6, 2014) While an unprecedented number of illegal alien minors surge across the border – incentivized by lax enforcement and promises of amnesty – the Obama administration has just announced it is expanding a program that defers the deportation of illegal aliens. In June of 2012, the Obama administration bypassed Congress with an executive action that put into place Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). The program, otherwise known as the DREAM Act, grants a reprieve from deportation and work authorization to broad categories of “young” illegal aliens. Yesterday, the Department of Homeland Security announced that a two-year renewal process has begun and encourages those not already enrolled to do so.

Dan Stein, president of the Federation for America Immigration Reform (FAIR) called yesterday’s action “reckless and irresponsible.” Stein observed that, “even while we’re watching the chaotic result of this administration’s non-enforcement policies at the border, the president is implementing even more incentives guaranteed to create more chaos.”

According to White House sources, the number of unaccompanied illegal alien minors entering the United States could be more than 60,000 this year, a 90 percent increase over 2013 and up to 130,000 by 2015. A recent memo from the Border Patrol estimates the numbers could be even higher. The surge is overwhelming local border officials and forcing them to transport the aliens further north for processing and release.

Since its implementation in 2012, more than 560,000 illegal aliens have applied for relief from deportation under the DACA program. While the program limits eligibility to those who have resided in the United States since June 2007, the message being sent to Mexico and throughout Central America is that illegal entry is rewarded, further amnesty legislation is pending and in its absence, the president will enact it by executive action.

“President Obama has responded to the border crisis by issuing a memorandum ordering a ‘unified and coordinated federal’ response," Stein continued. “It’s laughable because the problem has been created by Obama’s six-year ‘unified and coordinated federal’ campaign to dismantle enforcement. Now he’s pretending to repair the very thing he deliberately broke by expanding benefits.”

“If President Obama believes the flood of illegal alien minors at the border is a humanitarian crisis then he needs to send a strong message throughout Mexico and Central America that the United States will enforce its laws and he needs to discourage parents from sending their children on a dangerous journey north,” Stein said. Renewing a program (DACA) that indefinitely delays enforcement of our immigration laws just perpetuates the problem.”

Eric Cantor to surrender House GOP leadership post in July

WASHINGTON — Repudiated at the polls, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor intends to resign his leadership post at the end of next month...

Lawmakers in both parties said the majority leader’s defeat and the prospect of a change within the Republican high command probably signal the demise of immigration legislation along the lines President Barack Obama is seeking....

One Republican said he feared the effects of Cantor’s defeat could be debilitating for the party and the government.

Interviewed on MSNBC, Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., said he was worried that Cantor’s stunning loss may lead to even more congressional gridlock. Asked if he thought immigration legislation was dead, he replied, “I’m concerned that Ted Cruz supporters, Rand Paul supporters, are going to use this as an excuse” to shut down the government...

Brat campaigned as a foe of immigration legislation, and said Cantor was likely to help immigrants living in the United States illegally gain amnesty if given a new term in the House...

The impact of Cantor’s surprise loss on the fate of immigration legislation in the current Congress seemed clear. Conservatives will now be emboldened in their opposition to legislation to create a path to citizenship for immigrants living in the country illegally, and party leaders who are sympathetic to such legislation will likely be less willing to try....

“The Republican Party has been completely swallowed by the tea party. I mean, any debate over whether the tea party controls the Republican Party has ended,” Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida, the Democratic national chair, said on MSNBC.

Arizona TV Station Points Out Health Threat (Scabies, Chicken Pox, MRSA Staph Infections) From Illegal Aliens

A porous border, besides being a security threat, an economic threat, a political threat and a cultural threat, is also a health threat. That should be obvious.

An Arizona TV station (ABC 15 Arizona) ran a good little video about the health threat on the border, specifically along the Texas border.[Immigrants bringing diseases across border?, by Navideh Forghani, ABC 15 Arizona , June 6, 2014]

It’s not long but it’s worth watching. Notice that the two individuals interviewed, Border Patrol agent Chris Cabrera and border resident Jorge Garcia are Americans, of Hispanic ancestry, who are concerned about the problem. As Garcia so aptly puts it when discussing scabies crossing the border, “Just the fact we are exposed to it, and so is everyone here in south Texas, it’s a great concern to us.”

And since Arizona is having all these illegal aliens who crossed into Texas dumped in their state, well, any disease that crosses into Texas can also wind up in Arizona. Or anywhere.

My question is, where is Congress? Where are the GOP lawmakers and candidates?

Arizona rushes aid to site holding migrant kids, complains of fed plan bringing them to state

PHOENIX — Angry about the federal government sending from Texas to Arizona immigrants who are in the country illegally, Arizona officials say they are rushing federal supplies to a makeshift holding center in the southern part of the state that's housing hundreds of migrant children and is running low on the basics.

Gov. Jan Brewer's spokesman, Andrew Wilder, said Friday that conditions at the holding center are so dire that federal officials have asked the state to immediately ship the medical supplies to the center in Nogales...

... the (illegal) immigrants were mostly families from Central America fleeing extreme poverty and violence.

...432 unaccompanied minors detained in Texas arrived in Nogales on Friday, with 367 more expected both Saturday and Sunday.

...children will be vaccinated and checked medically. They will then be sent to facilities being set up in Ventura, California, San Antonio, Texas, and Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

...17 or younger. The official estimated three of every four were at least 16.

...the program that has shipped unknown thousands of adult migrants and their children to Arizona since last month shows no sign of stopping, he said...
.
Homeland Security started flying immigrants to Arizona from the Rio Grande Valley in Texas last month after the number of immigrants, including more than 48,000 children traveling on their own, overwhelmed the Border Patrol there.

The immigrant children were flown from Texas, released in Arizona, and told to report to an ICE office near where they were traveling within 15 days.

Brewer sent an angry letter to President Barack Obama...she hadn't received a response to her letter by Friday...

...Officials say about 100 lawyers and paralegals will be enrolled as members of AmeriCorps in a new division called "justice AmeriCorps."

Immigration officials can immediately return Mexican immigrants to the border, but they are much more hard-pressed to deal with Central American migrants who illegally cross into the U.S. In recent months, waves of migrants from nations south of Mexico have arrived in Texas.

The Homeland Security official said that legally, only their parents or guardians can take custody if the government makes the children eligible for release. Read more about Arizona rushes aid to site holding migrant kids, complains of fed plan bringing them to state

DHS releasing into US an untold number of immigrants caught crossing Mexican border

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is releasing inside the United States some immigrants who have crossed illegally into the country amid a surge in traffic across the Mexican border in southern Texas. But how many remains a mystery because the government won't disclose the number.

The Homeland Security Department started flying immigrants to Arizona from the Rio Grande Valley in Texas last month ...

...the immigrants were mostly families from Central America. They were flown from Texas, released in Arizona, and told to report to an ICE office ...

Most immigrants arrested at the border in southern Texas are from Honduras, El Salvador or Guatemala and cannot be immediately repatriated...

Word that immigrant families are being released has spread south...

Earlier this week Obama described the influx of children traveling alone as an "urgent humanitarian situation." The Office of Management and Budget told Congress last month that the government would need an extra $1.4 billion to deal with the situation.

Help spread the word statewide

Oregonians across the state worked so very hard last summer to collect the needed signatures for the citizen's veto referendum and we were successful. But, that success only got us invited to participate in the race.  Now, we need to prepare for and WIN the race.

One of the necessary steps is to build up our resources.  Running the veto referendum signature gathering campaign depleted our funds appreciably.  It is critical to our success that OFIR and PODL supporters and their friends, family and co-workers that signed the petition understand that we need help now to gather the funds we need to run a winning campaign.

During the referendum campaign, a very generous OFIR member came forward and offered a matching grant.  That propelled us into an incredible fundraising event.

Now, as we move into the election campaign, he has stepped forward once again with a $5,000 matching grant to help us raise the funds we will need to be successful in November.

Read more about his very generous offer!  Then, please contribute to the campaign to stop our state from issuing driver cards to illegal aliens.
