Investigation: Americans Charged $66M to Help Illegal Aliens Fight Deportation

American taxpayers across a number of towns and cities are being charged to the tune of more than $66 million, often passed through a group linked to billionaire George Soros, to help illegal aliens fight their deportations from the United States.

The investigation conducted by the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) reveals the extent to which taxpayers across about 50 towns, cities, and counties are footing the bill to keep illegal aliens in their communities. Specifically, the Vera Institute of Justice has hugely expanded its contracts with cities and counties that work to defend illegal aliens fighting deportation using taxpayer funds. . . . DHS Proposed 153-Page Rule Change Concedes that Asylum Fraud is the Real ‘Root Cause’ of the Border Crisis

“In a remarkable admission, the Biden Department of Homeland Security concedes that the overwhelming majority of migrants pouring across our southern border are attempting to defraud our political asylum system. That crisis is about to get a whole lot worse when Title 42 is canceled, and an estimated 11,000-13,000 illegal migrants are expected to be encountered every day.

“DHS’s response is a 153-page proposed “temporary” rule change that is designed not to halt the flow of illegal migrants, but merely to create a more orderly process for people to abuse our asylum system. In other words, the real objective is not to end large-scale asylum abuse, but rather to get them through the next election cycle. . . .

Biden admin mulls move to open pathways to green cards for temporary agricultural, seasonal migrant workers

FIRST ON FOX: The Biden administration is considering a rule that would open the door to allow temporary agricultural and seasonal workers to be able to apply for permanent residency in the United States, Fox News Digital has learned.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) previously announced it intends to issue a notice of proposed rulemaking to "modernize and reform" the H-2A and H-2B visas — which are used for temporary agricultural workers and temporary seasonal workers.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has said that rule will incorporate policies to address exploitation and abuse, protect workers and increase program efficiencies. . . . Gov. Abbott's Border Operation Nabs 348,000 Illegal Immigrants, 361 Million Fentanyl Doses

A state-level initiative to counter the swarm of illegal immigrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border into Texas has, to date, resulted in more than 348,000 apprehensions and the seizure of more than 361 million doses of the deadly drug fentanyl.

The initiative, Operation Lone Star, was created by Texas's Republican Gov. Greg Abbott in March 2021.

As Abbott explained then, “The crisis at our southern border continues to escalate because of Biden administration policies that refuse to secure the border and invite illegal immigration. Texas supports legal immigration but will not be an accomplice to the open border policies that cause, rather than prevent, a humanitarian crisis in our state and endanger the lives of Texans. . . . Biden Unveils Plan to Launder the Unprecedented Flow of Illegal Aliens, Charges FAIR

“After two years of denying that the situation at our southern border constitutes a humanitarian, national security, and public health crisis, President Biden has issued new ‘border enforcement measures’ and ‘additional safe and orderly processes’ for unprecedented numbers of migrants attempting to enter the United States illegally.

“Far from stanching the self-inflicted, unprecedented flow of illegal aliens, the Biden administration announced today that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will now grant parole to Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and (per the prior program) Venezuelans facing ‘unique challenges’ in their home countries. This is not a recognized category under current law for granting entry into the United States, nor does it satisfy the requirements of the parole statute. . . . The State of the Border: New FAIR Issue Brief Paints a Grim Picture of a Self-Induced Disaster

A new illustrated and concise report by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) depicting the exponential growth in illegal immigration since January 2021 shows why he largely avoided the issue. The report graphically illustrates how Biden Administration policies have created a humanitarian, national security, and public health crisis at the border dwarfing anything that came before.

The State of the Border: an Illustrated Analysis of Biden’s Failure to Secure the Southwest Border, shows the staggering increase in the numbers of people encountered entering the country illegally; the number of people encountered who are listed on the federal Terrorist Screening Database; the number of “gotaways” who were detected but eluded apprehension; and the volume of lethal fentanyl seized at the border. . . . WashPo: Joe Biden Plans Bigger Migration Swap with Mexico

President Joe Biden’s deputies are drafting a bigger migration swap with Mexico’s president that would burst through Congress’s annual caps on immigration levels, according to the Washington Post.

The political swap would expand a January border-management deal that annually trades 360,000 additional migrants for 360,000 deportations back into Mexico.

The expanded deal would help Mexico’s president deliver more Latinos into U.S. jobs, help Biden’s 2024 campaign staff hide the chaotic arrival of more job-seeking migrants, help business groups get more cheap workers, consumers, and renters, and help progressives divorce from their civic obligations to ordinary Americans. . . .

Will Another House GOP Revolt Compel Speaker McCarthy To Take Immigration Action?

The GOP/GAP took back the U.S. House of Representatives in 2022 on the pledge to thwart Amnesty and to stop the illegal alien invasion at the southwest border. But, while the caucus generally shows no sign of wavering on Amnesty, some squishes are wimping out on serious border control. And they cower from impeaching, not only President Biden, but also even his appalling Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Nor do they want to force the immigration issue into the upcoming debt ceiling fight. Still, patriot Republicans, like Arizona’s Andy Biggs and Texas’ Chip Roy, are pressing for something more than talk—and they believe the debt ceiling fight is the perfect opportunity. Will they stage a revolt of the kind that forced House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to make key concessions to get his job? . . . Too Little, Too Late: Biden Stages Carefully Choreographed Photo-Op at the Border

“President Biden’s three-hour stopover in El Paso on his way to Mexico was nothing more than a carefully choreographed photo-op designed to quell criticism of his refusal to get a firsthand look at what is happening at the border, rather than a serious effort to end a crisis he created and has purposefully worsened.

“When you take a step back, this crisis is all by design. During a 2019 primary debate, then-presidential candidate Biden explicitly urged migrants around the world to surge the border, with the intent of rubber-stamping their asylum claims: ‘I would, in fact, make sure that there is—we immediately surge to the border. All those people seeking asylum, they deserve to be heard.’

“In their first 100 days, the Biden administration took over 90 executive actions on immigration, many of which dismantled an effective system, making it easier for migrants to illegally enter and stay for good. Nearly every follow-up executive action or policy decision, including the unlawful parole program unveiled late last week, has been used to launder the crisis – not end it. . . .
