Illegal border crossings down, but encounters at ports of entry continue to increase

If you've read or seen reports from the media this week, or heard Biden Administration officials talk about the border, you might think that the border crisis is beginning to wind down.

Yes, the number of illegal border crossings has lessened. But the illegal aliens showing up at ports of entry along the Southwest border in June hit its highest level since Pres. Biden took office in 2021. And we don't know yet how many illegal aliens were paroled into the country by the administration at a port of entry NOT along the Southwest border.

First, let's take a closer look at the newest report from the Department of Homeland Security detailing the number of illegal alien encounters along the Southwest border last month. . . .

Crazy Treason Lobby Infighting Roils The Biden Border Amnesty

It might appear that everyone in the Biden Regime and Treason Lobby is on the same page with respect to the illegal-alien invasion. All are united in wanting to dispossess the Historic American Nation. But, amazingly, high-level bureaucrats are squabbling with low-level bureaucrats and with Treason Lobby “charities.” Treasoncrats inside the Refugee, Asylum and International Operations Directorate of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services are conspiring with communist front groups like the American Civil Liberties Union to expand the current Biden Regime Administrative Amnesty via litigation. The Amnesty’s Asylum rules, they allege in federal court, are too restrictive . . . Read more about Crazy Treason Lobby Infighting Roils The Biden Border Amnesty

Migrants Burst New York City’s ‘Infinite Compassion’ Bubble

Unable to re-ticket NYC migrants in any appreciable numbers, New York City has started distributing flyers at the southern border warning there is “no guarantee” of shelter and encouraging them to go elsewhere.

“Our compassion is infinite. Our space is not,” said Dr. Ted Long, senior vice president at NYC Health + Hospitals, the agency that operates much of the emergency housing for NYC migrants. . . . Read more about Migrants Burst New York City’s ‘Infinite Compassion’ Bubble

Migrants Charged by Texas Police for Breaching Border Barriers

EAGLE PASS, Texas — Texas Department of Public Safety troopers are now charging arrested migrants who cross the Rio Grande with criminal trespass after attempting to breach temporary border walls in the heart of downtown Eagle Pass. As Breitbart Texas watched along the Rio Grande on Friday, one group of migrants was arrested by Highway Patrol troopers from Texas and Florida after managing to move through a stretch of concertina wire.

Breitbart Texas observed the group of six migrants as they emerged from the river and were swiftly taken into custody by the troopers. The group of migrants from Honduras and Venezuela was later featured in a tweet by a Texas Highway Patrol spokesperson who says the group now faces criminal trespass charges. . . . Feds Raid Office of Texas Border Sheriff Known for Downplaying Mexican Cartel Influence

Federal authorities raided the headquarters of a Texas border sheriff’s office whose top official is widely known for claiming that the border is safe. The sheriff frequently minimizes cartel activity even though one of Mexico’s most violent criminal organizations operates in his county.

On Monday, agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigations raided the Webb County Sheriff’s Office in Laredo, Texas. The Laredo Morning Times first reported on the raid. Breitbart Texas contacted an FBI spokesman who confirmed that they executed court-authorized law enforcement activities at the building but could not provide additional details. . . . The apprehension of migrants by Border Patrol agents along the southwest border fell by about nine percent in May, according to a CBP source. The slight decline in apprehensions follows the Biden administration’s ending of the Title 42 COVID-19 migrant expulsion program.

Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 165,000 migrants who crossed the southwest border from Mexico between ports of entry, according to an unofficial Border Patrol report reviewed by Breitbart Texas. This is about a nine percent decrease from the more than 182,000 migrants in April. . . . Do We Need More Welfare-Dependent Immigrants?

WASHINGTON—Last week, the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) filed a brief in a Texas federal district court showing that a lawsuit by Texas against the Biden administration’s 2022 public charge rule should be allowed to go forward.

Since before this nation’s founding, Americans have excluded aliens likely to be “public charges”—that is, dependent on the government for support. In the 1990s, Congress passed statutes directing that those likely to be public charges should not be accepted as immigrants. . . . Read more about Do We Need More Welfare-Dependent Immigrants?

18 Month Investigation Finds Trafficking and Exploitation in H-2A Program

An 18-month investigation by Prism, Futuro Investigates, and Latino USA, is the latest to find horrific abuse throughout the H-2A agricultural temporary worker program. The H-2A visa includes extensive labor protections concerning wages, recruitment, working conditions, and housing, with multiple Federal departments playing a role in approval and oversight. Biden Admin Makes Overnight Move That Means Thursday's Border Disaster Will Be Much Worse: Report

As Title 42 Ends, DHS Plans to Accommodate Expected Surge of Illegal Immigration, Rather than Prevent It, Charges FAIR

“For months, the Biden administration has been pressed to present a plan to deal with even greater surges of illegal immigration after Title 42 is formally ended on May 11. Today, the Department of Homeland Security finally rolled out a ‘plan’ that amounts to the same failed policies that resulted in record levels of illegal immigration, only on steroids.

“Today’s announcement by the Biden administration, billed as ‘sweeping new actions to manage regional migration,’ does not even make a pretense that it is designed to prevent or deter even larger numbers of migrants from entering the country. Rather, it is a massive scheme to process migrants and disburse them around the country as quickly as possible. . . .
