Traitorous Senate Republicans (Including John Cornyn!) Entertain Amnesty Talks

At least five Republican senators are open to a modified version of Joe Biden’s Amnesty. Axios reported Wednesday that a “bipartisan” group met to discuss “comprehensive immigration reform.” The four Republicans who attended the meeting were: John Cornyn of Texas, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Susan Collins of Maine, and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina. Mike Rounds of South Dakota called in [Bipartisan Senate group seeks immigration deals, by Alayna Treene, Axios, April 21, 2021].

Murkowski, Collins, and Graham are no surprise; they all voted for Amnesty in 2013. What is notable is Cornyn’s attendance. He is one of the most powerful Republicans in the Senate and he previously opposed Amnesty. But, as VDARE.com has previously reported, he has recently flipped and now wants to work with the Democrats to reward illegal aliens. . . California Foster Parents Asked to Take in Unaccompanied Minors From Central America

April 20, 2021 Updated: April 20, 2021

Foster parents in California are being asked if they can take in unaccompanied Central American children who have recently crossed the southern border.

Automated emails and phone calls from the state’s Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) have asked foster parents if they can take anywhere from one to 26 or more children.

Travis and Sharla Kall received a voice message and then a follow-up email in mid-March with the request.

“At first, it was just strange,” Travis Kall told The Epoch Times. He thought it was a mistake until Diandra Causey, a friend and also a foster parent, confirmed with her agency that it was a request to foster unaccompanied minors who had recently crossed the border illegally. . .

FAIR: Xavier Becerra is the Wrong Man to Head HHS as a Flood of Migrants Strains Department Resources

(March 4, 2021, Washington, D.C.) — The following statement was issued by Dan Stein, president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), in opposition to the nomination of Xavier Becerra to lead the Department of Health and Human Services:

“FAIR’s strong concerns about the fitness of Xavier Becerra to lead the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) are clearly reflected in the Senate Finance Committee’s failure to support his nomination.

“HHS is faced with unprecedented strains on its resources as the lead federal agency tasked with dealing with the COVID crisis. The Biden administration’s reckless immigration policies have triggered another border crisis and a growing surge of people coming across our borders and multiplying demands on public health resources. Moreover, because HHS is also responsible for the care and housing of unaccompanied children entering the country illegally, the burden on agency personnel and resources will be even greater. . . Biden Cancels Trump's Program that Targeted Sex Offenders Living in the U.S. Illegally

Biden has made it clear that his number one mission as president is to undo everything the Trump administration accomplished over the last four years.

His newest cancellation simply does not make sense.

Biden’s administration recently cancelled Operation Talon, a Trump administration program aimed at removing convicted sex offenders living in the United States illegally.

Though the program seems to be something everyone should support, it clearly isn’t. Why would anyone want sex offenders to remain in the country?

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson joined a coalition of 18 state attorneys general to urge Biden to reverse the cancellation, according to ABC 4 News. . . Read more about Biden Cancels Trump's Program that Targeted Sex Offenders Living in the U.S. Illegally

Senator Grassley Reintroduces the Gold Standard of Immigration Reform in the Senate

Early in the 117th Congress, Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) has reintroduced FAIR-supported S. 71, the Accountability Through Electronic Verification Act. This bill would permanently authorize and expand the E-Verify program and requires its use by all employers in the United States. This bill is the gold standard when it comes to ending illegal immigration and protecting American workers. Rather than addressing the symptoms of the problem, Senator Grassley’s bill attacks its source – the jobs magnet that lures illegal aliens here in the first place. . . (Salem, OR) -- An investigation into the behavior of a state lawmaker at the Oregon State Capitol found that he created a hostile work environment for at least two women. Investigators say Democratic Representative Diego Hernandez had brief relationships with both women, but when those relationships ended, they felt that Hernandez would harm their careers as a result. The report will head to the Legislature's Committee on Conduct next week where Hernandez's fellow lawmakers will determine what happens next.
