On Wednesday, July 1st, 32-year-old Kate Steinle was shot and killed on San Francisco’s Pier 14, “one of the city’s most scenic tourist spots.” The ABC affiliate in San Francisco reported San Francisco police said she “was walking along Pier 14 when a man came up and shot her in the upper torso.”

The ABC affiliate reported “Wednesday was supposed to be fun for Kate and her family. She met her father on Pier 14 that night. He was there to take her to Pleasanton, to learn if her brother and his wife were expecting a boy or girl. WASHINGTON—Yesterday the DC Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a district court’s dismissal of a lawsuit brought by the family of the so-called “ISIS bride,” Hoda Muthana, who joined the terrorist group in Syria, then sought to return to America where she was born.

In an attempt to secure Muthana’s return to the United States, her father, a former UN diplomat from Yemen, sued Secretary of State Michael Pompeo and other federal officials in federal district court in the District of Columbia. He claimed that his daughter, because of her birth in New Jersey, is a United States citizen. The district court ruled in favor of the government, finding that she is not a citizen. . . Texas Attorney General Ken Paxon said he will sue the Biden administration over its “illegal deportation freeze.”

“Border states like Texas pay a particularly high price when the federal government fails to faithfully execute our country’s immigration laws,” Paxton wrote in a letter. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) is warning House and Senate Republicans not to be “fooled” by President-elect Joe Biden’s upcoming amnesty plan for the 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the United States, which he says will provide lip service to federal immigration enforcement.

Last week, open borders activists suggested that Biden’s upcoming amnesty plan is the “most aggressive agenda” they have seen in years. A national pandemic of local municipalities protecting illegal immigrant criminals is driving federal authorities to resort to desperate measures to keep communities safe. This month Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) launched a billboard campaign seeking the public’s help in capturing felons released by various law enforcement agencies throughout Pennsylvania under sanctuary policies. The state has more than a dozen official sanctuary counties that have recently discharged convicted or arrested criminal aliens. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency announced Thursday that it has arrested more than 170 at-large illegal immigrantsthroughout the country in a crackdown focused on sanctuary cities.

• Mexican national Francisco Vasquez-Cruz was arrested on drug-trafficking charges by Oregon State Police on April 28 and booked into the Jackson County Jail.

• Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed to the Daily Caller News Foundation that Vasquez-Cruz is in the United States illegally, and is considered an ICE fugitive after Jackson County authorities ignored its detainer request and released him into the public.

• Oregon is a sanctuary state that largely restricts how local and state law enforcement can cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) requested that Oregon authorities cooperate on the transfer of an illegal alien arrested for drug possession and money laundering, but they refused and the alien is at-large, the agency confirmed.

Two men, Leonel Campos-Valdez and Francisco Vasquez-Cruz, were traveling in a Ford-150 pickup on April 28 when they were stopped by an Oregon State Police trooper for multiple traffic violations, local authorities first revealed.
