OFIR meeting, Saturday, May 7, 2016
Once again, OFIR packed the house as members and interested folks joined us to hear Dr. Bud Pierce talk about his candidacy and his plans if he were to be elected Oregon's next governor.
Dr. Pierce told the group, when queried, that if, even after the Measure 88 defeat, the Oregon Legislature were to pass another driver card for illegal aliens bill, he would VETO the bill.
Bruce Cuff and Bob Neimeyer, GOP candidates for Governor, were also there to introduce themselves and chat with voters
Sam Carpenter's Rep. (Nick) was there and spoke on Sam's behalf. Mark Callahan is running for Congress and addressed the group, too. Several other candidates also addressed the group briefly.
Oregon's new Remembrance Project coordinator, Braeda Libby, explained the importance of the work they are doing across the country and the Trump campaign response to their requests.
Oregon Abigail Adams Vote Education Project also sent a rep., Linda Eskridge, to explain just how important those vote questionnaires really are.
All in all a big day, a full agenda, still time for questions and we even ended on time!
