Oregon Liberty Alliance 2017 Freedom Rally
Conservatives gathered to celebrate, network and learn at the annual Freedom Rally at the Oregon Convention Center Saturday, February 27. Two time presidential candidate Governor Mike Huckabee was one of the keynote speakers.

2017 OFIR billboard campaign draws compliments
During the opening of the 2017 Legislative session, OFIR is running a billboard campaign to educate taxpayers to the burden of being a sanctuary state. Taxpayers spend over a billion dollars in services to illegal aliens living and working in Oregon.
If the Oregon Legislature is looking for funding - perhaps they should look at cutting the services they are funding for illegal aliens?

A packed house joined in to celebrate recent election results, both nationally and here in Oregon, that are encouraging in our work to reign in illegal immigration and excessive legal immigration. Inclement weather didn't stop dedicated members from attending the meeting and enjoying a celebration cake. Hope is on the horizon!

Canadian Border Tour - the "other border"
Center for Immigration Studies - CIS - out of Washington DC has offered week long, in depth tours of the US / Mexican border for the past several years. This year, eastern Canada was the destination as we studied the Canadian border with New York and Vermont.

OFIR's BONUS Summer meeting - Saturday, August 13, 2016
Paul Nachman of Bozeman, Montana, our special guest speaker, addressed a packed house at OFIR's membership meeting. Refugee resettlement is a topic everyone was interested in hearing about.
Jacob Daniels, Trumps Oregon campaign manager, discussed Trump's immigration platform and Bill Currier, explained the importance of voting not just for President, but for the "down ballot" - the Governor's race is neck and neck and so are many others.
OFIR VP Rick LaMountain explained OFIR's upcoming $500 contribution to the Sheriff Deputy Kelly Fredinburg reward fund. OFIR members contributed an additional $277 at the meeting.
