GOP Rep. Nehls Slams Kamala Harris for Not Visiting Border — Doesn’t Want to Hear What a ‘Horrible Job’ She’s Doing

Monday on FNC’s “Fox & Friends,” Rep. Troy Nehls (R-TX) ripped Vice President Kamala Harris for delaying her visit to the United States’ border with Mexico amid the ongoing immigration crisis. Harris, who President Joe Biden put in charge of the border crisis, has used the excuse of “COVID issues” for not visiting the border yet.

Nehls pointed out COVID has not stopped Harris from “jet-setting around this country going to all the different blue states.” He then said the vice president just does not want to hear from people working at the border that she is “doing a horrible job” fixing the problem at the border. . . Joe Kent Explains How Immigration is a National Security Issue and Why Military Should Be Used to Secure the Border

Congressional candidate Joe Kent recently appeared on Big League Politics Live where he explained that border security is a pressing national security issue and why the military should have a role in keeping dangerous illegal immigrants out of the U.S.

“We’re seeing human trafficking, sex trafficking, drug trafficking, all of that come through this massive surge of immigration because we have an unsecured border. I think that’s a major national security issue,” he said. . . Read more about Joe Kent Explains How Immigration is a National Security Issue and Why Military Should Be Used to Secure the Border

Biden Nominates Open-Borders Advocate and Anti-Enforcement Cop to Key Positions

oe Biden finally made formal nominations for the agency heads of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Kamala Harris Ignores Border Crisis, Instead Buys Cake in Chicago

Vice President Kamala Harris is supposed to be fixing the humanitarian crisis at the southern border of the U.S. — but she’s too busy with her cake to lift a finger to help the situation.

President Joe Biden handed the issue off to her back on March 24, but Harris hasn’t visited the border or even held a news conference in the two weeks since. . .

COVID Migrants Get a Pass and Head Into U.S

The U.S.-Mexico border remains officially closed to non-essential traffic. But that’s not stopping asylum seekers from pushing on and, in some cases, bringing COVID-19 with them.

In the face of federal and state efforts to contain COVID, migrants crossing into Texas are testing positive for the virus, and continuing their travels into the U.S. While the Biden administration says it is handling the surging numbers, a Democrat congressman sees deteriorating conditions in his border district.

“[The administration is] only listening to the immigration activists, and they’re not listening to the folks on the border,” Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Laredo, complained Wednesday. The same day, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) tweeted, “The Biden administration is recklessly releasing hundreds of illegal immigrants who have COVID into Texas communities.”. . Biden Admin Responds to Reports Saying DHS May Restart Border Wall Construction

The White House responded to a report this week claiming that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) would restart construction of the U.S.–Mexico border wall to shore up gaps in the current barrier, after President Joe Biden issued an executive order months ago to pause construction.

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas reportedly said that there’s “room to make decisions” on finishing “gaps in the wall,” according to the Washington Times, which cited notes of a conversation between Mayorkas and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials. The Epoch Times hasn’t been able to independently confirm the authenticity of the remarks and has contacted DHS for comment on the story. . . Commentary: GOP Demands Answers as Report of Terror Suspects Arrested at Border Mysteriously Disappears

If there’s an innocent explanation, Republicans would love to hear it.

A news release issued Monday by Customs and Border Security about the arrest of terror suspects along the southern border brimmed with brio about agents’ fulfilling their mission of protecting the American people from alien threats entering the country illegally.

By Tuesday, the release had been disappeared — and Republicans on the House Homeland Security Committee want to know why. . .

Abbott Hits Biden with the Bill After Texan Forces Were Left to Clean up After President's Costly Border Crisis

Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Thursday called for the federal government to pay the bill for costs incurred to protect the state from crimes occurring as a result of the crisis at the southern border.

Abbott has criticized the administration of President Joe Biden for the surge in illegal immigration that has swamped facilities designed to hold migrants and resulted in many illegal immigrants who are detained being turned loose in Texas communities.

Noting the role of drug cartels and human smugglers in the border crisis, Abbott last month announced the creation of Operation Lone Star to have Texas law enforcement agencies, led by the Texas Department of Public Safety, focus on human trafficking and other crimes taking place during the surge. . .

COMMENTARY Poll: Americans Displeased by Biden's Handling of Immigration Crisis

Apparently, President Joe Biden’s handling of the border crisis isn’t quite winning him support among the American people.

In poll after poll, Biden is taking a beating over his handling of illegal immigration. In the first major crisis of his administration, Joe Biden isn’t just losing — he’s losing big.

According to The Hill, in a Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll survey, 48 percent of Americans approve of how Biden is doing at the southern border. That’s down from the 56 percent that approved of his performance in February. The poll of 1,945 registered voters was conducted from March 24 to March 25 via an online sample. . .
