Abbott Hits Biden with the Bill After Texan Forces Were Left to Clean up After President's Costly Border Crisis

Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Thursday called for the federal government to pay the bill for costs incurred to protect the state from crimes occurring as a result of the crisis at the southern border.

Abbott has criticized the administration of President Joe Biden for the surge in illegal immigration that has swamped facilities designed to hold migrants and resulted in many illegal immigrants who are detained being turned loose in Texas communities.

Noting the role of drug cartels and human smugglers in the border crisis, Abbott last month announced the creation of Operation Lone Star to have Texas law enforcement agencies, led by the Texas Department of Public Safety, focus on human trafficking and other crimes taking place during the surge. . .

Biden Decision to Cancel Immigration Public Charge “Sticks it to Taxpayers,” Says FAIR

(March 12, 2021, Washington, D.C.) – The following statement was released in response to the Biden administration’s decision to cancel the public charge rule in the midst of an immigration crisis.  The statement should be attributed to Dan Stein, president, Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR):

“After decimating immigration enforcement and creating a crisis on our southern border, the Biden administration has decided to stick it to the American taxpayers by canceling a rule that would have barred people who are likely to become public charges from immigrating to the United States legally.

“The rule that would have shielded U.S. taxpayers from having to provide costly public benefits, such as cash benefits for income maintenance, SNAP, most forms of Medicaid, Section 8 Housing Assistance, Section 8 Project-Based Rental Assistance, and certain other forms of subsidized housing, is now gone, and taxpayers will remain on the hook for these costs.

“The principle that immigrants be self-sufficient predates our republic, and has been codified into law since 1882. But none of that, nor the burdens placed on the American people, matters one whit to an administration that is hell-bent on eliminating all rational rules and enforcement where it comes to immigration. . . Johnson said a short-term contract was awarded to Endeavors, a San Antonio, Texas-based non-profit organization, to provide “temporary shelter and processing services for families who have not been expelled and are therefore placed in immigration proceedings for their removal from the United States.”

“The $86.9 million contract provides 1,239 beds and other necessary services. . .

Illegal Aliens to Receive 4.38 Billion in Stimulus Checks:Report

As Americans start to receive the latest round of stimulus checks, a new analysis reveals that about $4.38 billion will also go to illegal immigrants.

The Center for Immigration Studies estimates that 2.65 million illegal immigrants have Social Security numbers that allow them to receive stimulus checks. This group of illegal immigrants can be described as “aliens temporarily present without status,” according to Steven Camarota, director of research for the Center for Immigration Studies.

“These individuals are in the country illegally and could be required to leave. Yet, under the current system, they are still given work authorization and Social Security numbers,” he said. .  Read more about Illegal Aliens to Receive 4.38 Billion in Stimulus Checks:Report

Commentary

The Biden administration is scrambling to shelter thousands of unaccompanied minors crossing the southern border from Central America. The media are declaring the crush at the border a “crisis.”

Truth is, this crisis could be heading to your school district. If your kids are in public school or you pay school taxes, you need to know the facts.

The media show photos of young migrant children. Don’t fall for that. Three-quarters of these unaccompanied minors are young men ages 15 to 17. Think tattoos, not teddy bears. .

Human Traffickers Feed Off Loose Border Laws: ‘America’s Forgotten’ Director

The Biden administration’s much looser stance on immigration than the previous administration is raising new discussion on the broader impacts of encouraging illegal entry into the United States.

The documentary film “America’s Forgotten” explores the death, torture, and suffering that surrounds illegal immigration, a topic that Hollywood appears to view too sensitive to touch.

The Epoch Times’ senior reporter Joshua Philipp interviewed Singh Gujral, the award-winning filmmaker and director of “America’s Forgotten.”. . Read more about Human Traffickers Feed Off Loose Border Laws: ‘America’s Forgotten’ Director

Trump Kept His Promise to Return Other Countries' Criminals

Candidate Donald Trump’s Contract With The American Voter promised that he would not only deport criminal illegal aliens, but that he would “cancel visas to foreign countries that won’t take them back.” It only makes sense. If a dangerous criminal passes illegally from another nation into the United States, it’s not the job of the American taxpayer to take on the expense of their care. Their country of origin should take them back and imprison them on their own dime. However, some nations routinely refused to take their criminals back. They knew America’s weak politicians would never make them do the right thing. Candidate Trump promised this would come to an end. . .
