The U.S.-Mexico border has become the world’s “deadliest” land crossing, according to data recently brought to light by a United Nations study.

A historic high of 728 recorded immigrant deaths and disappearances along the U.S.-Mexico border crossing in 2021 has made the land crossing the deadliest in the world, according to the study conducted by the United Nations agency, the International Organization for Migration (IOM). . . . The medical examiner’s office in Maryland said that he died from the combined effects of fentanyl and cocaine and that his death was ruled accidental.

For instance, two recent NFL first-round draft picks died in car crashes (and a third survived a 156 mph crash but killed a women he ran into). A U. of Kentucky basketball player who was tabbed an NBA first-round draft pick also died driving.

Mexico Gives Travel Permits to 3000 Caravan Migrants Headed to U.S.

Mexico’s government issued approximately 3,000 travel permits to members of a migrant caravan that arrived over the weekend in Chiapas. Rather than trying to stop the group, authorities issued permits and allowed them to continue north in a fragmented manner. . . . 53 Migrants Died in Abandoned Trailer in Texas Smuggling Incident

Police near San Antonio report that 48 migrants are dead and at least 16 others were transported to local hospitals after being locked inside a tractor-trailer. Two more died after receiving medical care. A worker found the tractor-trailer on the southwest side of San Antonio on a back road near Interstate 35. Group of 300 Migrants Cross into Southwest Texas Border Town

EAGLE PASS, Texas — In one large group, more than 300 migrants crossed the Rio Grande Sunday as temperatures exceeded the 100-degree Fahrenheit mark. As Border Patrol and Texas Highway Patrol Troopers managed nearby traffic, many migrants pleaded for water.

Last week, the Department of Homeland Security issued a National Terrorism Advisory System bulletin. And in true Biden administration fashion, it focused on what it views as threats within our borders, not outside of them. Mexican Army Sends 200 Soldiers to Cartel-Controlled Border City near Texas

Mexico’s Army sent 200 soldiers to the border city of Matamoros this week, an area with a history of being controlled by the Gulf Cartel.The arrival of troops comes soon after the criminal organization was able to bring all activity in that city to a halt last weekend by hijacking tractor-trailers and buses to block main avenues. Gunmen also torched vehicles to support their blockades. The efforts were carried out in response to a recent military raid targeting local Gulf Cartel operatives. . . .
