FAIR: Federal Judge Knocks Down One of the Last Remaining Barriers to Complete Anarchy at the Border

“Since the moment he took office, President Biden has intentionally worsened an unprecedented surge of illegal migration, with Title 42 serving as the last constraint on his plan to completely abandon enforcement at our southern border. This is a fact that was recognized by border officials and lawmakers in both parties. This decision will lead to a skyrocketing of illegal entries, most of whom the Biden administration will simply process and disperse around the country.

“The initial ruling that kept Title 42 in place prevented the border crisis from becoming much worse, but based on the most recent numbers, it clearly was no match for open borders policies deliberately forced upon the American people. . . . Biden’s Handpicked Border Patrol Chief Admits There are No Consequences to Illegal Immigration

Raul Ortiz was appointed Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol in August 2021 by President Biden because of his willingness to go along with the administration’s lax border enforcement policies. In that role, Ortiz has towed the administration’s line that our borders are secure and our immigration laws are being enforced, even as it is plainly evident that they are not.

However, while Ortiz has been willing to lie for the administration in the media, he drew the line at perjuring himself. In July, Ortiz was deposed, under oath, by the office of the Florida Attorney General in a lawsuit brought by the state against the Biden administration’s handling of the border. A video of that deposition was publicly released in September. In it, Ortiz, under penalty of perjury, effectively calls Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Vice President Kamala Harris liars for claiming that our borders are secure. . . . WATCH: Deported Venezuelan Migrants Shut Down Texas Border Port of Entry

Approximately 60 previously deported Venezuelan migrants rushed the northbound lane of an international port of entry leading to Brownsville, Texas, Friday. The effort forced a shutdown of the port for several hours.

Mexican authorities were unable to stop the group from entering the facilities of Gateway International Bridge as they made their way toward the U.S. side. Officers with U.S. Customs and Border Protection rapidly set up barricades and preventative measures to keep individuals from trying to force their way further north. . . . Emails: Sec. Mayorkas Knew Haitians Not Whipped by Border Patrol Agents Before White House Briefing

Hours before attending a White House press conference in which Border Patrol agents were excoriated by President Joe Biden for allegedly whipping Haitian migrants from horseback, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was advised the allegations were challenged by the primary witness. Biden was still left to claim, “To see people treated like they did, horses barely running over, people being strapped, it’s outrageous.” The administration was reacting to photographs of a migrant border surge in Del Rio, Texas, at the time in 2021.

An exclusive Fox News report details a September 24, 2021, email, obtained by the Heritage Foundation via a Freedom of Information Act request. The email to Mayorkas and other DHS leaders from Marsha Espinosa, Assistant Secretary of DHS public affairs, included a news article in which the photographer who took the photograph directly stated he did not observe any agents whipping the migrants. . . . Texas Moves Checkpoints Back After Deadliest Smuggling Discovery

The state of Texas has resumed intensified truck inspections after 53 migrants died in a tractor-trailer rig. But unlike the previous program that snarled border traffic for miles, the new checkpoints will pull back and spread out along smuggling corridors that lead to San Antonio, Houston and Dallas.                                                                                                                                                         Gov. Greg Abbott had suspended his state’s enhanced border inspections after signing security agreements with four northern Mexico governors. But upon the grisly discovery on San Antonio’s south side last month – believed to be the deadliest human smuggling incident in U.S. history — the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) was ordered to reactivate and relocate its checkpoints.
