Last Tuesday, the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement held its third hearing on the Biden Border Crisis.

The hearing focused in on the devastating effects of the Biden Administration’s open-border policies, emphasizing the harms facing American citizens from criminal illegal aliens.  The hearing also highlighted the record numbers of suspects on the terrorist watchlist entering the country.

Witnesses for the hearing included:

The Biden administration is ending a Trump-era plan designed to crack down on fake claims of family relationships among illegal immigrants crossing America’s southern border.

The policy will end May 31, according to a leaked memo published by Just the News.

“The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) familial DNA contract with BODE Technologies will end on May 31, 2023 and all familial DNA testing will conclude on that date,” the memo said.

In 2019, Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan told the Senate Judiciary Committee that, based on initial results of one pilot program, 15 percent of alleged migrant families are committing fraud by claiming unrelated children as their own, according to The Hill. . . .

Multiple arrests have been made in connection with the case of Francisco Oropesa, who faces murder charges in the Friday night killings of five people in Cleveland, Texas.

According to the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began late at night when the 38-year-old Mexican national was asked by a neighbor to stop firing a rifle in his yard because an infant in the next house was trying to sleep, Fox News reported.

“The suspect said something along the lines of, ‘It’s his property, he’ll do whatever he pleased on his property,’” Sheriff Greg Capers said. “The man went back into the house. A source operating under the umbrella of U.S. Customs and Border Protection not authorized to speak to the media on these matters told Breitbart Texas that agents apprehended more than 37,000 migrants in April. The monthly total represents an increase of more than 100 percent from the nearly 18,000 migrants apprehended in March. It also exceeds the total apprehensions for February and March combined — just under 33,000.

The tremendous spike in migrant apprehensions in April come just ahead of the expected demise of the CDC’s Title 42 coronavirus protection protocol that allows Border Patrol agents to expel migrants for health concerns. A new report by FAIR, The Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration, finds that as of 2022, American taxpayers shell out at least $150.7 billion each year to cover the cost of illegal immigration. Broken down, the data reveals that taxpayers pay $182 billion annually to provide services and benefits to illegal aliens and their dependents. These costs are offset by about $31 billion in taxes that are collected from the estimated 15.5 million illegal aliens living in the United States, bringing the net cost to $150.7 billion annually.

The 2022 costs represent a 30 percent increase to taxpayers in just five years. A former version of this study, conducted in 2017 by FAIR, placed the annual net cost of illegal immigration at $116 billion. Most of the additional costs have been added in the past two years, as the Biden administration’s de facto open borders policies have triggered a historic surge of new illegal migrants pouring across our borders. . . . Late Wednesday, the House Judiciary Committee debated and passed the Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Act of 2023, an extensive security and enforcement-minded bill that aims to end the Biden border crisis.  The final vote of 23-15 fell essentially along party lines, with one Republican voting with Democrats against the bill. The bill now moves to the floor for consideration by the full House of Representatives.

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, was forced to face the American family of a grandmother and granddaughter who were killed last month in a high-speed car crash allegedly caused by a human trafficker smuggling 11 illegal aliens through the state of Texas.

In March, police officers attempted to pull over 22-year-old Rassian Natery Comer, who was allegedly smuggling 11 illegal aliens through Texas at the time. Comer, according to officers, refused to stop and began driving at 105 mph while live-streaming the high-speed case on social media

After officers lost sight of Comer, he allegedly ran a red light at an intersection and hit 71-year-old Maria Tambunga and her 7-year-old granddaughter, Emilia Tambunga, who were on their way home from a playdate. . . . There was a time not long ago when Americans would read news stories about obscene levels of corruption in other countries and feel justified in a sense of superiority. Two of the four Americans kidnapped in Mexico have been found dead, while the other two were rescued alive, officials announced Tuesday. 

The survivors -- Eric James Williams and Latavia "Tay" McGee -- have returned to the U.S., their families said.

The four Americans -- Williams, McGee, Zindell Brown and McGee's cousin Shaeed Woodard -- arrived Friday morning in Matamoros, Mexico, which is in the northeastern state of Tamaulipas just south of Brownsville, Texas. 

"Shortly after crossing into Mexico, unidentified gunmen fired upon the passengers in the vehicle," the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City said. The Americans had been traveling in a white minivan.

he Americans were not directly targeted, Attorney General of Tamaulipas, Irving Barrios, said at a news conference.
