During the first three reporting periods in January, Tucson Sector agents apprehended nearly 35,000 migrants (approximately 1,662 migrants per day). This compares to 10,200 migrants (486 migrants per day) during the same period last year. This represents an increase of more than 240 percent over last January.

EAGLE PASS, Texas — As of Wednesday afternoon, Army National Guard soldiers remain posted at temporary gates erected at the entrance to a city-owned park along the Rio Grande. The park was seized by order of Texas Governor Greg Abbott and closed off to Border Patrol agents unless their entrance into the area is first coordinated with state law enforcement and the Texas Military Department.

The state appears to be standing firm as a Biden administration deadline of “the end of the day” for the state to remove the gates and allow unimpeded access to the Border Patrol approaches. Border Patrol agents apprehended nearly 16,000 Chinese migrants who crossed the border between ports of entry since the new fiscal year began on October 1, according to unofficial reports reviewed by Breitbart Texas. This number is nearly two-thirds of the Chinese migrants apprehended during the entire Fiscal Year 23, which ended on September 30.

Since October 1, 2023, Border Patrol agents apprehended approximately 15,800 Chinese nationals who illegally crossed the border between ports of entry, the report indicates. Official reports from U.S. Customs and Border Protection reveal the apprehension of 9,844 migrants in October and November. This leaves nearly 6,800 who were apprehended since December 1, 2023. . . . On Sunday, both Democrat and Republican negotiators in the Senate acknowledged they had failed to reach a deal on the immigration policy changes needed to advance President Biden’s foreign aid package.  The negotiators met through the weekend after Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) announced Thursday he would keep the Senate in session, instead of recessing for the holidays, to pressure the negotiators to make a deal. 

Negotiations were active over the weekend.  According to various news sources, Senator Lankford (R-Okla.), along with Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (I., Ariz.) and Chris Murphy (D., Conn.), White House aides, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and aides to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) huddled in Senator Schumer’s office on Saturday and Sunday.  Senator Lankford, the chief Republican negotiator, told reporters that Senators would need to have an agreement on a framework by Sunday evening.  Otherwise there would be insufficient time to put the agreement down on paper and start voting.

A human smuggler stood on US soil as he helped illegal aliens rush through a hole in the border wall in Lukeville, Arizona while Border Patrol agents did absolutely nothing to stop the invasion.

A new report from Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee found that over 99% of illegal immigrants released into the U.S. from January 2021 to March 2023 under President Joe Biden ended up staying in the U.S. 

The report, from the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement, details how little deportations have taken place under Biden and says that few of those released into the U.S. were actually screened for persecution claims. The report said the total number of illegal immigrants released into the U.S. during the time in question was 2,148,738 and that over 204,000 were released through “illegal categorical parole programs.” . . .
