As Title 42 Ends, DHS Plans to Accommodate Expected Surge of Illegal Immigration, Rather than Prevent It, Charges FAIR

“For months, the Biden administration has been pressed to present a plan to deal with even greater surges of illegal immigration after Title 42 is formally ended on May 11. Today, the Department of Homeland Security finally rolled out a ‘plan’ that amounts to the same failed policies that resulted in record levels of illegal immigration, only on steroids.

“Today’s announcement by the Biden administration, billed as ‘sweeping new actions to manage regional migration,’ does not even make a pretense that it is designed to prevent or deter even larger numbers of migrants from entering the country. Rather, it is a massive scheme to process migrants and disburse them around the country as quickly as possible. . . . Jayapal’s Freudian Slip Reveals Elitist Contempt for Migrants, American Workers William Davis William Davis May 03, 2023

During a recent hearing in the House Judiciary Committee meant to debate an immigration bill aimed at ending the abuse of the U.S. asylum system, an extreme progressive congresswoman’s comments about migrants unmasked elitist attitudes on the immigration issue.

At the hearing, Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) claimed that the U.S. needs more immigration because migrants are the people who "pick the food we eat" and "clean our homes.” Her comments reveal the deep disdain many anti-borders activists and politicians have for working-class Americans and the migrants themselves. . . . “The suspect said something along the lines of, ‘It’s his property, he’ll do whatever he pleased on his property,’” Sheriff Greg Capers said. “The man went back into the house. New FAIR Report: Annual Costs of Illegal Immigration Soars to $150.7 Billion a Year

A new report by FAIR, The Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration, finds that as of 2022, American taxpayers shell out at least $150.7 billion each year to cover the cost of illegal immigration. Broken down, the data reveals that taxpayers pay $182 billion annually to provide services and benefits to illegal aliens and their dependents. These costs are offset by about $31 billion in taxes that are collected from the estimated 15.5 million illegal aliens living in the United States, bringing the net cost to $150.7 billion annually.

The 2022 costs represent a 30 percent increase to taxpayers in just five years. A former version of this study, conducted in 2017 by FAIR, placed the annual net cost of illegal immigration at $116 billion. Most of the additional costs have been added in the past two years, as the Biden administration’s de facto open borders policies have triggered a historic surge of new illegal migrants pouring across our borders. . . .
