Beyond the DOC Mexican national incarceration numbers and incarceration percentages, per county and per type of crime, criminal aliens from Mexico place a substantial economic burden on Oregonians.

An individual inmate incarcerated in the DOC prison system costs the state approximately ($108.26) per day.

The DOC’s incarceration cost for 662 Mexican national inmates is approximately ($71,668.12) per day, ($501,676.84) per week, and ($26,158,863.80) per year.

None of preceding cost estimates for the DOC to incarcerate the 662 Mexican national inmates includes the dollar amount for legal services (indigent defense), language interpreters, court costs, or victim assistance.

The Other Dangerous Dependence Exposed by Coronavirus Crisis: Low Wage, Exploitable Foreign Farm Labor, Charges FAIR

A devastating March 28 Associated Press report reveals how little value powerful agricultural interests place on the lives and safety of either their guest workers or their illegal labor force. Moreover, the stunning silence of the massively funded network of so-called “immigrants’ rights” groups in the face of these revelations shows how little they actually care about the people they claim to advocate for. . . U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons: Criminal Alien Report March 2020

The United States having a significant foreign national population residing within the nation’s boundaries, be they legally or illegally present in the country, unfortunately includes those who commit crimes.

The extent and impact of foreign national crime on the U.S. citizens and residents of this country is clearly revealed by a simple search on the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) inmates statistics website under the heading of inmate citizenship.

Here are the countries of origin, moreover, the number and percentage of those countries citizens recently incarcerated in the U.S. BOP prison system (Note: The most recent BOP crime numbers available were from March 28, 2020.).

Inmate Citizenship:

- Mexico 19,555 inmates, 11.2 percent;
- Colombia 1,634 inmates, 0.9 percent;
- Dominican Republic 1,407 inmates, 0.8 percent;
- Cuba 1,072 inmates, 0.6 percent;
- Other / unknown countries 8,883 inmates, 5.1 percent;
- United States 142,171 inmates, 81.4 percent;

Total Inmates: 174,722 inmates.

To explain the meaning of these preceding criminal alien inmate numbers and percentages, I will translate them into words:

Combining March 28th BOP criminal alien inmate numbers, there were 32,551 criminal aliens in the BOP prison system. Alien inmates were 18.6 percent of the federal prison population.

With 19,555 Mexican nationals being incarcerated in the BOP prison system, at 60.1 percent, they were the vast majority of criminal aliens in federal prisons.

The U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons breaks down the federal prison population into 13 types of offenses. One of the top five offenses, the reason inmates are serving time in federal prisons is for immigration crimes. There were 9,646 inmates in the BOP prison system incarcerated for immigration crimes; they were 5.9 percent of the federal prison population.

Open borders Groups Use Coronavirus as Excuse to Demand Release of ICE Detainees in Local Custody

Across the country, many organizations pushing open borders have rapidly latched on to the COVID-19 pandemic as an another excuse to try to get illegal aliens awaiting deportation out of custody and back into American communities.  They have especially targeted state and local law enforcement, as well as private contractors, who house immigration detainees for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). . . Birthright Tourism

Birth tourism is a term which refers to the practice of foreign mothers-to-be traveling to the United States on tourist visas for the specific purpose of giving birth in the U.S. in order to obtain U.S. citizenship for their child.
