Support surges for farmworkers killed in Oregon highway crash, but hurdles remain

The aftermath of seven farmworkers killed May 18 in one of the deadliest highway crashes in recent Oregon history has highlighted a network willing and able to rally support for its more vulnerable members.

But the unique challenges the farmworker community faces when tragedy strikes also have been accentuated.

A van carrying 11 passengers, all contract farmworkers, was struck by a semitruck traveling north on Interstate 5 near Albany. Six people were killed on-site; a seventh died on the way to a regional hospital. The other four passengers were injured, some severely. . . . Biden Targets Six Communities to Dump New York City’s Migrants

President Joe Biden’s deputies have targeted six poor communities in New York and New Jersey as locations to resettle the foreign migrants now overflowing government-funded shelters in New York City.

The list of sites was sent to state officials, and promptly leaked to Bloomberg, which reported:

Most of the sites are outside of the city, including Stewart International Airport, a small Hudson Valley facility frequently used by private jet owners. The Atlantic City location is even in another state, New Jersey. . . . Read more about Biden Targets Six Communities to Dump New York City’s Migrants

Images show men armed with rifles, body armor coming across southern border

EXCLUSIVE: Fox News has obtained images that show suspected cartel gunmen coming across the U.S. southern border in Texas toting body armor and rifles – the latest instance of armed men believed to be cartel members at the border.

Law enforcement sources tell Fox that the three men were spotted on Saturday evening by cameras in the Fronton area and were seen carrying rifles and wearing body armor as they move through the brush.

Border Patrol agents, including the agency’s BORTAC tactical unit, were deployed to the area but found nothing. It is the same area where law enforcement arrested five suspected members of the Northeast Cartel in June. . . .

Crazy Treason Lobby Infighting Roils The Biden Border Amnesty

It might appear that everyone in the Biden Regime and Treason Lobby is on the same page with respect to the illegal-alien invasion. All are united in wanting to dispossess the Historic American Nation. But, amazingly, high-level bureaucrats are squabbling with low-level bureaucrats and with Treason Lobby “charities.” Treasoncrats inside the Refugee, Asylum and International Operations Directorate of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services are conspiring with communist front groups like the American Civil Liberties Union to expand the current Biden Regime Administrative Amnesty via litigation. The Amnesty’s Asylum rules, they allege in federal court, are too restrictive . . . Read more about Crazy Treason Lobby Infighting Roils The Biden Border Amnesty

Schools are for Educating Kids, Not for Sheltering Illegal Aliens

The Biden Administration’s reckless border and immigration policies have resulted in unprecedented numbers of illegal aliens entering our country, overwhelming the resources of countless communities nationwide. Self-declared sanctuary jurisdictions are compounding the impact of this crisis by turning public school facilities into shelters for largely unvetted adult migrants who flock to their communities. To address this problem, the House of Representatives just passed H.R. 3941, the Schools Not Shelters Act. . . . Read more about Schools are for Educating Kids, Not for Sheltering Illegal Aliens

Democrats Dangle Anti-Fentanyl Law as a Swap for Amnesty

Democrats say they have a fix for the cartels’ drug epidemic: Invite more poor economic migrants to compete against ordinary Americans for wages, housing, and civic resources.

The solution was pushed during a July 19 House hearing into the damage caused by the cartels’ drugs. Democrats downplayed the American deaths and focused on protecting their pro-migration policies and allies, including homeland security Alejandro Mayorkas.

The hearing “is a political sham,” said Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-CA).

“We should be focusing on … prioritizing the expansion of resources for immigrant communities and comprehensive immigration reform,” said Ramirez, who repeatedly boasts about her parents’ illegal migrant status. “That’s how you address public safety” for Americans facing drug threats, she declared. . . . Migrants Charged by Texas Police for Breaching Border Barriers

EAGLE PASS, Texas — Texas Department of Public Safety troopers are now charging arrested migrants who cross the Rio Grande with criminal trespass after attempting to breach temporary border walls in the heart of downtown Eagle Pass. As Breitbart Texas watched along the Rio Grande on Friday, one group of migrants was arrested by Highway Patrol troopers from Texas and Florida after managing to move through a stretch of concertina wire.

Breitbart Texas observed the group of six migrants as they emerged from the river and were swiftly taken into custody by the troopers. The group of migrants from Honduras and Venezuela was later featured in a tweet by a Texas Highway Patrol spokesperson who says the group now faces criminal trespass charges. . . . Do We Need More Welfare-Dependent Immigrants?

WASHINGTON—Last week, the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) filed a brief in a Texas federal district court showing that a lawsuit by Texas against the Biden administration’s 2022 public charge rule should be allowed to go forward.

Since before this nation’s founding, Americans have excluded aliens likely to be “public charges”—that is, dependent on the government for support. In the 1990s, Congress passed statutes directing that those likely to be public charges should not be accepted as immigrants. . . . Read more about Do We Need More Welfare-Dependent Immigrants?
