Ex Michigan Attorney General Alleges Detroit Counters Assigned Fraudulent Ballots to non-Voters

A former deputy attorney general for Michigan made a series of shocking allegations in a sworn affidavit on Sunday, including vote fraud committed by Detroit ballot counters.

Zachary Larsen, who served in both the Bill Schuette (R) and Dana Nessel (D) administrations, was a Republican poll challenger and arrived at the TCF Center in Detroit to observe the absentee ballot counting process last week. . . Who's Who Among the OregonCandidates

Oregonians frustrated with what’s happening in the Oregon now and in the State Legislature and Congress can learn more about candidates in the November election, and get involved with a campaign.

Oregon’s Congressional delegation has a dismal record on protecting the interests of U.S. citizens in immigration policy.  Most of the delegation has been in office for many years, and have consistently voted for lax to no controls on immigration.  We see the results in unsustainable population growth, overcrowding, degradation of the environment and multiple other ill effects.  Oregon’s State Legislature, Governor, and Attorney General have also opposed reasonable controls over immigration.

Here’s how to find Oregon candidates who do support the best interests of citizens in immigration policy:

The Oregon Abigail Adams Voter Education Project has already begun posting information on candidates in the 2020 election, with links to their websites.  You can check there to see what’s available now for your districts.  If you don’t know which your districts are, you can enter your address on the form here and find out.

As of mid-August, it’s still fairly early in this year’s election calendar, and the OAAVEP is continuously adding more data to its site.  In the past they have posted very useful comparison charts on some issues, including immigration.  See their postings thus far for the 2020 election at https://oregonabigailadams.wordpress.com/2020-general-election , and for the 2018 election here.

--------------------------------------------------

The national immigration reform organization, NumbersUSA, is posting and constantly updating facts about candidates’ views.  NumbersUSA is particularly helpful about the positions of candidates for Congress, while they also cover state campaigns.  NumbersUSA has been in existence for many years and has an invaluable record of votes by Congresspersons on immigration bills, scoring the records of each member with a letter grade, A-plus to F-minus.  They offer a questionnaire to candidates, and Alex Skarlatos, running for CD 4 against long-time incumbent Peter DeFazio, is the only Oregon candidate for Congress who has made any replies so far.

--------------------------------------------------

In earlier years, OFIR’s website included key facts about candidates in state and federal elections.  See https://www.oregonir.org/immigration-topics/elections.  This information is still useful because many candidates have been in office for years.

--------------------------------------------------

The questions asked in the OAAVEP’s questionnaire vary slightly according to the office sought.  Here are the questions for U.S. House of Representatives candidates:

24         Do you support requiring all employers to use the Federal E-Verify system to determine the employee's work eligibility status to work in the United States?

25        Do you support requiring proof that immigration laws are being enforced before laws granting amnesty are considered?

26         Do you support withholding federal funds to sanctuary cities that do not cooperate in federal immigration law enforcement?

27         Do you support blocking ICE from state records when investigating criminal immigrants?

28         Do you support stronger border security to prevent illegal aliens and illegal drugs from entering the U.S.?

29         Do you support requiring aliens counted in the census to not be used for purposes of redistricting?

30         Do you support ending DACA?

31         Do you support automatic citizenship to children born in the U.S. when both parents are not legal residents? Read more about Who's Who Among the OregonCandidates

Bicameral Legislation Introduced to Stop Greenlighting Drivers’ Licenses for Illegal Aliens

Congressional voting is skewed against citizens; fix needed

The 22 million non-citizens in this country (including many here illegally) are having a huge impact on election of representatives to the U.S. Congress.  This is because apportionment of House seats to each state and the drawing of House district lines are based on total population, not on citizenship.

A new report by the Center for Immigration Studies concludes:

“The profound impact of non-citizens can be seen in the 12 districts with the lowest share of citizens, which have roughly the same population of voting-age U.S. citizens as the nine districts with the highest citizen shares. This means Americans in the high-citizen districts have only nine representatives in Congress while those in the lowest-citizenship districts have 12, even though the combined populations of citizens are roughly equal.”

The rule about apportionment is based on the Constitution, section 2 of the 4th Amendment.  There has been much debate about its interpretation, and whether it’s rightfully applied.  The CIS study makes it obvious that the rule gives states with large numbers of non-citizens an advantage over other states in Congressional matters, which is unjust to citizens and harmful to the sovereignty of the nation.

Table 1 from an earlier CIS study shows, for each state, the apportionment of House seats after the 2020 Census, assuming different populations were not present.  Under each of the assumptions, the table shows that Oregon will have 6 Representatives, a gain of 1 seat over the current number.

The source of Oregon’s general population increase is a mixture of migration of citizens from other states (32%)  and immigrants (30%), as reported here.  The large migration from other states is likely often related to excessive immigration and overcrowding in the other states.

“California is by far the more recent state of residence for those who move to Oregon, followed by Washington, Illinois, New York, and Texas. These are all states that have seen significant increases in their population, driven in large-part by immigration. Of those who moved to Oregon as an adult from another state, 44% said they did so ‘seeking a better quality of life.’”-- https://www.numbersusa.com/blog/numbersusa-study-population-growth-and-sprawl-oregon

As a FAIR blog comments: “Without a doubt this [Congressional apportionment] is one of the key reasons why the Democrats have been pushing – with the support or acquiescence of cheap labor corporatist Republicans – open borders and mass immigration. After all, during the 2018 midterm elections, almost 90 percent of House districts with a foreign-born population above the national average were won by Democrats. …

“… A persuasive case can be made that the Department of Commerce – which is responsible for conducting the census – can indeed exclude illegal aliens from the census population count (and that the Constitution did not mean for them to be included in the first place). Unfortunately, the DOC has so far refused to do so, for which it was sued by the state of Alabama and Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL). Alabama certainly had a good reason to sue, for counting illegal aliens would deprive it of a congressional seat and an Electoral College vote. The bottom line is that states with small foreign-born/non-citizen populations, and in particular those with less illegal alien inhabitants, should not be punished by losing representation.”     Read more about Congressional voting is skewed against citizens; fix needed

Oregonians frustrated with what has happened in the Oregon Legislature - and in Congress - can learn more about the candidates and then get involved with a campaign.

We can look to the May 2020 Primary election to find Oregon candidates who do support the best interests of citizens in immigration policy.  The Oregon Abigail Adams Voter Education Project has already begun posting information on primary candidates, with links to their websites.  You can check what’s happening in your districts here.  If you don’t know which your districts are, you can enter your address on the form here and find out.

In earlier elections also, the OAAVEP collected detailed information on candidates’ positions on a number of important issues, including key questions about the candidate’s position on immigration.  You can see what some of them said about immigration in the 2018 and 2016 Primary campaigns on the OFIR website. Filling out the questionnaire is up to the candidate, and many of them have cooperated in recent years.

OAAVEP has also issued reports for the General Elections.  See their website homepage for more information.

Many people in Oregon and other states still believe that illegal aliens living and working in this country do no harm and see no problem in accepting their presence.  But this view ignores the widespread falsification of identities which does harm individual U.S. citizens.  The competition from illegal alien workers often causes a drop in wage levels - and that hurts all workers.  Worse still, acceptance of illegal immigration has led to more open borders policies, putting U.S. sovereignty at risk.

The article below highlights an actual case of enforcement that is usually cast narrowly by most media as pointless cruelty.  Thanks to Stephen Dinan for reporting a more complete picture.

NO HARM? MOST ILLEGALS IN MISSISSIPPI ICE RAIDS STOLE AMERICANS' IDENTITIES, by Stephen Dinan - The Washington Times - Thursday, November 7, 2019

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/nov/7/mississippi-ice-raids-most-illegal-immigrants-stol/

Excerpts:

Most of the 680 illegal immigrants nabbed in August’s immigration raids at poultry plants in Mississippi worked under stolen American identities, the Department of Homeland Security’s top investigator told Congress Thursday, rebuffing Democrats who insisted the “undocumented” workers were doing no harm.

“They stole the IDs of 400 U.S. citizens,” said Jere Miles, who leads Homeland Security Investigations’ New Orleans office. “Where’s their voice?”

Mr. Miles was defending the Aug. 7 operations against seven processing plants as both a success and a deterrent to future illegal immigrants, battling with Democrats on the House Homeland Security Committee who called a field hearing in Mississippi to criticize the raids. …

Mr. Miles said the families are in no different position than any other instance where a parent runs afoul of the law and is incarcerated, forcing spouses and children to figure things out.

Democrats challenged Mr. Miles on whether anyone nabbed had major criminal rap sheets. He ticked off some felony cases against some of the people caught, but then pointed out that 400 of them were working in the U.S. on fraudulent identities he said were stolen from Americans.

“Is that not a serious crime?” he demanded of Democrats.

At that point Mr. Thompson cut him off.

“Be quiet,” the chairman ordered. …

To Democrats who fretted that the businesses were being let off the hook, Mr. Miles urged patience. He said the heart of the August operation wasn’t the arrest of the migrants but rather to serve search warrants at the businesses, which netted 850,000 documents. … Read more about Get acquainted with Oregon candidates for 2020 Primary

Gov. Brown betrays voters’ mandate, signs HB 2015

Today, Oregonians for Immigration Reform expressed anger and disappointment at Gov. Kate Brown's signing, on August 9, 2019, of House Bill 2015, which will provide Oregon driver licenses to illegal aliens.

"In 2014, our group spearheaded the ballot measure via which Oregonians, by a two-to-one margin, rejected the 2013  Legislature's approval of 'driver cards' for foreigners here illegally," said OFIR president Cynthia Kendoll.  "Yesterday, when she signed House Bill 2015, Gov. Brown told those Oregonians what their vote meant to her and to her accomplices in the Legislature: absolutely nothing."

Rather than honor the clearly-expressed mandate of those they were elected to serve, Kendoll continued, "our governor and Legislature chose to undermine U.S. laws against illegal entry and, instead, reward foreigners who have broken into our nation."

Illegal aliens, said OFIR communications director Jim Ludwick, "steal jobs from Oregonians, particularly from racial minorities and young people just beginning their working lives.  As well, the state and local government services they consume cost Oregonians more than $1 billion a year."

And, continued Ludwick, "more than 900 foreign nationals with federal immigration detainers -- the vast majority of them here illegally -- are inmates in our state prisons.  Most of them have committed violent crimes against innocent Oregonians."

After all this, concluded Ludwick, "what do our governor and Legislature do?  Pass a law to give illegal aliens driver licenses and, thereby, to encourage even more of them to come to our state."

In the history of Oregon politics, Kendoll noted, "one would be hard-pressed to find an instance where lawmakers more starkly betrayed both their constituents' best interests and clearly-expressed will."

Oregonians for Immigration Reform, founded in 2000, is a grassroots citizens' organization that advocates for an end to illegal immigration and a reduction in legal immigration.  OFIR and its thousands of members and supporters have qualified two measures for Oregon's statewide ballot: 2014's Measure 88, mentioned above, and 2018's Measure 105, which sought to repeal Oregon's illegal-alien sanctuary law (ORS 181.820A). Outstanding statement on HB 2015, the driver licenses for illegal aliens bill

March 27, 2019

Writing in The Oregonian, OFIR’s former vice president, Richard F LaMountain, points out:

“In November 2014 Oregonians overwhelmingly defeated a bill that if enacted would have given an official Oregon driver license to illegal aliens.  Thirty five out of Oregon’s 36 counties voted against it.  Eighteen Oregon counties voted NO by over 80%.  A majority of Democrats, Republicans and independents voted against it.  It was defeated in all five of Oregon’s congressional districts.

“So, what does the current Oregon legislature do?  They introduce House Bill 2015 to overturn what the voters overwhelmingly said.  …”

LaMountain was a chief sponsor of 2014's Ballot Measure 88. Read his full op-ed here. It explains well the reasons why the peoples’ verdict should stand.

Oregonians, call your state senator and house member and ask them to honor citizen voters, oppose HB 2015, and vote against it.
