Despite Unprecedented Immigration Numbers, Psaki Blames Media for Fueling the Perception That There's a Border Crisis

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Thursday the border crisis exists in the minds of the media.

The Biden administration has steadfastly avoided the use of the word “crisis” to characterize the uncontrolled flood of illegal immigrants seeking to cross the southwest border.

In April, Customs and Border Protection data shows that there were 162,000 encounters with migrants. . . Read more about Despite Unprecedented Immigration Numbers, Psaki Blames Media for Fueling the Perception That There's a Border Crisis

GOP Rep. Nehls Slams Kamala Harris for Not Visiting Border — Doesn’t Want to Hear What a ‘Horrible Job’ She’s Doing

Monday on FNC’s “Fox & Friends,” Rep. Troy Nehls (R-TX) ripped Vice President Kamala Harris for delaying her visit to the United States’ border with Mexico amid the ongoing immigration crisis. Harris, who President Joe Biden put in charge of the border crisis, has used the excuse of “COVID issues” for not visiting the border yet.

Nehls pointed out COVID has not stopped Harris from “jet-setting around this country going to all the different blue states.” He then said the vice president just does not want to hear from people working at the border that she is “doing a horrible job” fixing the problem at the border. . . Arizona Sheriff: Thanks to Biden, Mexican Smugglers Now Have Their Own High-Speed Roads in America

COMMENTARY

Roads across the southwestern United States are becoming drug-trafficking highways, according to an Arizona sheriff.

After President Joe Biden’s executive order in January halting construction of the southern border wall, workers “just built roads for the cartels,” Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels told The Washington Times.

Throughout the Trump administration, alongside the border wall itself, high-speed roads were built for use by the Border Patrol to better police America’s southern border. . .

Kamala Harris Ignores Border Crisis, Instead Buys Cake in Chicago

Vice President Kamala Harris is supposed to be fixing the humanitarian crisis at the southern border of the U.S. — but she’s too busy with her cake to lift a finger to help the situation.

Commentary: GOP Demands Answers as Report of Terror Suspects Arrested at Border Mysteriously Disappears

If there’s an innocent explanation, Republicans would love to hear it.

A news release issued Monday by Customs and Border Security about the arrest of terror suspects along the southern border brimmed with brio about agents’ fulfilling their mission of protecting the American people from alien threats entering the country illegally.

By Tuesday, the release had been disappeared — and Republicans on the House Homeland Security Committee want to know why. . .

Biden Decision to Cancel Immigration Public Charge “Sticks it to Taxpayers,” Says FAIR

(March 12, 2021, Washington, D.C.) – The following statement was released in response to the Biden administration’s decision to cancel the public charge rule in the midst of an immigration crisis.  The statement should be attributed to Dan Stein, president, Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR):

“After decimating immigration enforcement and creating a crisis on our southern border, the Biden administration has decided to stick it to the American taxpayers by canceling a rule that would have barred people who are likely to become public charges from immigrating to the United States legally.

“The rule that would have shielded U.S. taxpayers from having to provide costly public benefits, such as cash benefits for income maintenance, SNAP, most forms of Medicaid, Section 8 Housing Assistance, Section 8 Project-Based Rental Assistance, and certain other forms of subsidized housing, is now gone, and taxpayers will remain on the hook for these costs.

“The principle that immigrants be self-sufficient predates our republic, and has been codified into law since 1882. But none of that, nor the burdens placed on the American people, matters one whit to an administration that is hell-bent on eliminating all rational rules and enforcement where it comes to immigration. . . According to a recent poll commissioned by the NPR Media Network, American swing voters oppose Joe Biden’s open border immigration policy by a margin of 2:1, according to the same poll Latino Americans are just as unlikely to support Biden’s mass immigration agenda as they are to support it.

The NRP commissioned poll asked 1,309 registered voters if they “approve or disapprove of how President Biden is handling immigration.” Overall, just 33% of voters approve of Biden’s border policies, while 54% disapprove, says the Marist poll, conducted March 22 to 25. . . White House Giving Journalists ‘Zero Access’ to Border Patrol Operations

The Biden administration has given no access to observe or report on Customs and Border Protection (CPB) operations at the U.S.-Mexico border, according to an award-winning photographer and journalist.

Getty Images correspondent John Moore alleged there is a lack of transparency along the border. Last week, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated that Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ trip to the border, including El Paso, Texas, “will be closed to press due to privacy and COVID-19 precautions.”. . Illegal Aliens to Receive 4.38 Billion in Stimulus Checks:Report

As Americans start to receive the latest round of stimulus checks, a new analysis reveals that about $4.38 billion will also go to illegal immigrants.

The Center for Immigration Studies estimates that 2.65 million illegal immigrants have Social Security numbers that allow them to receive stimulus checks. This group of illegal immigrants can be described as “aliens temporarily present without status,” according to Steven Camarota, director of research for the Center for Immigration Studies.

“These individuals are in the country illegally and could be required to leave. Yet, under the current system, they are still given work authorization and Social Security numbers,” he said. .  Read more about Illegal Aliens to Receive 4.38 Billion in Stimulus Checks:Report
