On Monday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria,” Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) reacted to numbers from The Los Angeles Times that over 60,000 migrants have entered the “dedicated docket” program launched by the administration in 2021 and around 11,000 have gotten deportation orders, but only about 150 have been deported through July 2022, by stating that the figures show “the administration isn’t doing what it’s supposed to do” and isn’t enforcing the law. . . .

Progressive mayors and governors have had a nice run for more than a decade while their opposition largely stood down. These politicians soaked up the praise from their base that came with declaring their fiefdoms “sanctuaries,” places that defy federal immigration laws and serve as a magnet for noncitizens here illegally. Those who disagreed with the policy were mostly shamed into silence, for fear of being called pejoratives like “nativist,” “xenophobe,” or the dreaded but increasingly tiresome “racist.” . . .
Mexican immigration officials are reportedly assaulting migrants and placing them in solitary confinement inside the country’s largest migrant camp. While the detention center is only meant to be a temporary station for migrants who have been caught in Mexico and await release or deportation, authorities have systemically turned it into a harsh prison facility where occupants are routinely mistreated and extorted. . .
The Biden administration has created an unprecedented border crisis affecting our entire nation. This has galvanized public opposition, creating a united front of state and local governments, former immigration officials, and public interest groups demanding that the administration stop its sabotage of border and interior immigration enforcement. . . .
Earlier this month, President Biden took credit for the July inflation rate being “only” 8.5 percent. Now that July border numbers are finally public, the White House may take credit for the fact that “only” 199,976 illegal aliens crossed our border, down from 207,416 in June. A minor drop in border encounters is not encouraging. Traditionally, numbers drop in the hottest summer months, and last month’s figures actually represent a 325 percent increase over the average number of July apprehensions under the Trump administration. . . .
Power politics and union clout combined last week to quash the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Council. The move leaves 7,600 agency employees, mostly deportation officers, without collective bargaining protection, and exposes whistleblowers to retaliation or even termination. . . .
Drug police searched a Madras property Friday morning, seizing 60 pounds of unprocessed marijuana and 807 plants tied to an international drug organization operating around Central Oregon, according to police. . . .
A previously deported illegal alien, charged with brutally murdering a young mother and her son, is accused of keeping the woman’s daughter alive and holding her captive for the purpose of sexually assaulting her, police allege.
As Breitbart News reported, 37-year-old illegal alien José Paulino Pascual-Reyes of Mexico is charged with three counts of capital murder, two counts of corpse abuse, and one count of kidnapping after allegedly murdering 34-year-old Sandra Vazquez Ceja and her 14-year-old son as well as keeping her 12-year-old daughter captive in Dadeville, Alabama. . . .
The Department of Homeland Security stated late Monday that it would end the Migrant Protection Protocols, also known as "Remain in Mexico," and begin to welcome illegal aliens waiting in Mexico back into U.S. communities after a federal court removed the last remaining hurdle. . . .
San Diego Sector Border Patrol agents teamed up with the Government of Mexico to disrupt a human smuggling operation and seized weapons and makeshift ladders in the Otay Mountain region.
